Jake and Sydney met at Truman State University. After a few years of being in the same social circle, they became close "friends." After a few months in December 2019 Jake and Syd made it official, just as Syd was leaving Kirksville. Nothing like starting off a relationship 6 hours apart! The distance was no problem for them, two years later on New Year's eve, in front of friends and family, Jake got down on one knee and asked Syd to marry him.. to which she responded "Are you f****** kidding me?!" which of course meant YES!
