How We Met

Not even a global pandemic could keep these two from meeting! Fate brought Jacqi and Tim together in June 2020, as they somehow found one another in the complicated online world of dating apps. A strong initial connection formed the foundation of an incredible romance, built over the course of many adventures as the world slowly began to reopen. They stood together and provided support as Jacqi completed her masters in public health and Tim navigated the challenges of remote teaching, growing all the while as a loving couple. Their shared appreciation for the natural world, their equally goofy senses of humor, and their mutual love of one another’s families all come together to make Jacqi and Tim’s continuing love story a dream come true.

The Proposal

In June 2023, Jacqi and Tim took a trip to Montauk, one of their favorite local getaways, ostensibly to celebrate their anniversary. What Jacqi didn’t know (OK, she may have suspected!) is that Tim had something extra special planned! On the evening of June 10th, after a full day of relaxing activities around the End of Long Island, they made a sunset visit to the bluffs overlooking the lighthouse on the Point. There, Tim got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. Jacqi was so excited that he didn’t even get a chance to ask the question! The rest of the evening was spent celebrating with friends and family, officially beginning the next chapter of their lives together. Next stop, the wedding!
