The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is certainly going to be an important part of this trip as it is where we are getting married! However, this park has a myriad of activities to offer. With over 500,000 acres, opportunities to explore include the Appalachian Trail, Cades Cove, numerous waterfalls, wildflowers, and lots of wildlife ranging from bears to elk. More than that, the park is free and parking currently is the only expense at $5 a day or $15 for the week. Check out the National Park Service's website to plan your visit!

Checkout Dollywood, founded with Dolly Parton herself, while you are visiting. This family-friendly amusement and theme park has rides, shows, and vendors and can take more than a full day to get through completely. During our stay, the Flower and Food Festival will also be going on if you are interested in seeing the more than one million flowers, Mosaicultures, and seasonal flavors.

The Arts and Crafts Community is the largest independent organization of artisans in the United States. This 8-mile loop includes over 100 artists and craftsmen as well as dining and lodging options you can explore during your visit. You may also enjoy the Hands On Gatlinburg weekend event that will occur the same weekend as our wedding. More than a dozen studios will offer 30 different workshops providing instruction on a variety of crafting skills.
