The wedding Ceremony through Reception will all be on the same property. Distance between locations is minor and without hills or elevation. All locations are accessible, to include accessible bathrooms, though dinner will be over grass and means to access should be considered but please reach out if there are any questions or requests.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

We recommend staying at the Hilton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley, and have arranged a room block with end-of-night transportation to ensure the comfort of our out of town guests. We will be offering shuttles from the wedding venue to the afterparty and to the Hilton.

Ride shares like Uber or Lyft will be unreliable leaving the wedding venue if you are staying elsewhere, but reception and pickups should be fine if leaving from the Hilton to alternate accommodations.

GETTING TO AND FROM THE VENUE

Our wish is that all guests have freedom to enjoy the event as best they can. If this involves drinking alcohol, which will be present throughout the day, we demand that methods of transportation are planned in advance to ensure that safe transit is guaranteed.

To assist in this, the organized shuttle service will take guests from the wedding venue to the after party and recommended Hilton Hotel in Scotts Valley. Both locations will be easier to use ride share services in comparison to the wedding location. If needed, the property owner will allow vehicles to stay over night and be picked up in the morning. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

HOW SHOULD I GET TO BEN LOMOND?

The closest airport is San Jose Mineta International Airport. Other nearby airports include San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Oakland International Airport (OAK) and Monterey Regional Airport. If you are flying in we recommend to rent a car, as event location is somewhat remote. There may be busses to Scotts Valley (consider contacting the hotel), which would be fine to take if you organize weekend rides with other guests.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

September in the Santa Cruz mountains can get hot during the day, average of 85F, and cool off at night, to an average of 50F. With such a wide range of temperatures we ask our guests to check weather reports prior to the event for more accurate information.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Cocktail attire. The ceremony will be on a well groomed, compact path in the redwoods, dinner will be on a lawn, and reception will be in a building. Your comfort should be first in consideration of footwear.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

We will be serving a buffet-style dinner with a variety of choices to accommodate most basic dietary preferences. If you have strict dietary requirements or ANY allergies, please reach out to Jacqueline or Jon.

ARE CHILDREN INVITED TO THE WEDDING?

While we both adore children, we would like to have an adults only affair. However, we understand that our friends and family are of that age where leaving children may not be feasible. As of now, we'd like to restrict children under 18 to immediate family, but please let us know if you are unable to arrange childcare for the evening or have requests due to special circumstances. Our priority is to have our invited guests be present for our special day, so exceptions are preferred to total absence if no other options are available.

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO AND FROM THE WEDDING VENUE?

Shuttles will be provided after the reception and will take guests from the venue to the afterparty and the Hilton. Transportation will not be provided to the venue. There is on-site parking at the venue, and you are able to leave your car overnight as needed. Additionally, Ubers and Lyfts should be able to take you from Santa Cruz or Scotts Valley to the venue. Please do not rely on rideshare from the venue after the reception.

Shuttles will take guests from the wedding venue to the wedding After-Party (Bruno's Bar and Grill) and recommended hotel (Hilton Scotts Valley) which are about 1.5 miles away from each other. Shuttles will run from wedding end (9PM) through After Party End (1 AM).
