We are asking that our guests come dressed up in nice attire but you are not required to wear tuxedos or formal gowns. For the Men: Please wear a suit jacket, dinner jacket or blazer with dress pants. Please do NOT wear jeans, khakis, or shorts. For the Women: Please wear a dress, skirt-set, or jumpsuit that has a midi-length or knee-length hemline. Please do NOT wear attire that is primarily white/ivory. We are hosting a family-focused celebration and kindly request that only the immediate family children who are in our wedding party attend. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sharing this special day with you.

This venue is a historical site and must abide Maryland Law. There is absolutely no smoking inside the building. Outdoors, smoking is ONLY allowed under the portico to the east of the main entrance. We ask that you properly dispose of cigarette butts and cigar stubs in the receptacles provided. Smoking is prohibited elsewhere on the grounds.

If necessary, a car can be left overnight, but it must be picked up before the start of the next event. The venue confirmed that if a car is left over night it must be picked up the next day between 10 am - Noon. This is a firm window and the guest may not be able to retrieve their vehicle outside of this time. It is the responsibility of the guest to pick up their car in this time frame as needed.

Yes, if you require a handicap entrance you will need to follow the signs to the parking lot designated for handicap cars and for the vendors. This lot is behind the castle rather than in front of the castle where the main parking lot is located. There is a handicap entrance from the back lot to enter the building and grounds. One of the bathrooms on the first floor is handicapped accessible.

Guests are welcome to explore the castle, but please do not enter the Bride or Groom Suites which will be marked on the second floor.

The newlyweds and bridal party will be heading to Hightopps Backstage Grille after the wedding reception ends at 10 pm. Anyone is welcome to join them for further celebration !
