Derek and Jade match on Bumble and spend a single night texting. Turns out it wasn't love at first match...

After six months of swiping, they give it another go. This time they match on Tinder! In an effort not to screw it up this time, only minimal texting ensues.

It's time for a date! They try out the new rooftop bar in town (in the middle of winter!) and end up in a lively conversation. Since they were only two in the entire place that night, Peter the bartender got to see the budding romance (and related awkwardness) up close.

They celebrate their first Valentine's Day together in Chicago, where Derek impresses her with his love of jazz.

They attend their first wedding together and dance the night away in St. Pete. Jade's dance moves must be pretty solid because the next day, Derek says "I love you" for the first time on the beach at sunset.

Jade and Derek take their first major trip together, spending 50+ hours driving through Canada, with a flat tire for the effort. Despite neither of them knowing how to fix a flat, they manage to make it out of the country alive.

Their second wedding together! This time, Jade starts taking notes in case a wedding to Derek is in her future...

Derek shares his love of golf with Jade for the first time. She clearly wasn't very good, because they've never been back.

A tradition is born! They celebrate the Fourth of July together on the lake, dressing up as the Statue of Liberty and a Patriot as they throw out 2,000+ Jello shots to all their lake friends.

They move in together! Derek officially drops the keys off to his apartment and moves into his new home on Simonton Lake. Most of the family was excited, but Rafiki was apprehensive about living with his new little sister...

They kick off an amazing two-week adventure in Europe, visiting Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, and Italy.

Jade introduces Derek to the beauty that is Venice and he falls in love with it too. Forget Paris... Venice is truly the city of love.

They attend their first NFL game together, where Derek cheers for the wrong team. She decides she must love him a lot after hearing him bark all day. After all, what even is a Brown?

Their first Christmas together! They were pretty excited for the matching pajamas but Genevieve? Well, not so much...

They (somehow) survive the winter in the frozen tundra, and re-discover their love for board games. Lots of Monopoly occurred this season. In a surprise to no one, Jade remains a very sore loser.

Derek buys a boat and they kick off their first *official* summer on Simonton Lake.

Another busy audit season behind them, which means another vacation to enjoy! This time, they take an Alaskan cruise and enjoy a full week of food, drinks, and quality time. Meanwhile, Jade vows to spend every future vacation in a warm location. No one should have to pack that many coats for a trip.

She says "Yes!" Derek proposes during their housewarming party in front of all their friends and family.

The wedding planning begins in full force, and they can't wait to celebrate with you!
