We met at a bar at some hour in the night in downtown Philadelphia. We were upstairs in some bar I don't remember. Jaime's cousin, Meredith, introduced us. I remember thinking to myself, "This girl is awesome and I cannot end the night without getting to know her." Little did I know at the time that I would eventually get to know her so well that I would one day want her to be my wife.

I was living in Philadelphia with my cousin Meredith and her friend Jenn at the time. Jenn invited us to go out for her friend's birthday on October 21, 2008. The night started at Apothecary Bar and Lounge. The second stop was at Loie. I met Dan at approximately 1:45am when the lights went on in the bar for last call. We were DOWNSTAIRS. Meredith introduced Dan and a couple of his friends to me and talked about how they all know each other from Drexel. The introduction was short as our group of people began moving on to the next location which was an after hours bar directly across the street called The Mansion. In between leaving Loie and getting in line at The Mansion I became separated from Meredith and Jenn. So, I stood in line with Dan and we talked about his driver's license and his last name. When we got inside, he bought me a cranberry and vodka. He was nice enough to walk me home at the end of the night. And the rest is history!

October 29, 2008: The second time I saw Dan we were, again, at a bar in Philly with a group of friends. The special part of this night was that the Phillies WON THE WORLD SERIES!! As all of the fans ran into the streets throughout the city I didn't see Dan again until . . .

October 31, 2008: My roommates and I threw a Halloween party at our townhouse (Nightmare on Lombard!). The Phillies had their victory parade earlier that day and everyone was in great spirits! Dan showed up with a creepy full face mask on while sipping his drink through a straw. He was sick and feeling awful, but he stayed for the whole party. It was a great night spent with both his friends and my friends, sharing stories, and learning more about each other. We have been hanging out ever since!

Dan planned a trip to Estes Park, CO on September 21, 2014. We rented a jeep for an off-roading adventure. Along the way, we stopped in the mountains to eat some lunch. Jaime set up the camera for a picture and used the setting with a 30 second timer followed by 5 consecutive pictures per Dan's request. He stated the reason to use this setting was so we could get our dog in place, but really it's because he planned a big surprise! We now have five pictures to remember the moment.
