The way our story begins depends on who you ask, but according to Jake, our story began in April of 2015 at Clear Brook's Prom. Jake, who attended Clear Springs High School, happened to be going to Clear Brook's prom with another girl. Brooke just happened to be in the same prom group, but with the wrong Jake. Unbeknownst to Brooke, love was in the air.

After 4 years apart, we were reconnected through our mutual friends, Adam and Kalyn. This is where the pursuit began. It may have taken months of convincing and perseverance, but Brooke finally gave Jake a chance. Our first date was centered around creamy jalepeño salsa and Brooke winning at bowling, and not much has changed since. Our relationship started as we both began "overtime school," and were living back at home. Very quickly we had become inseparable bonding over our love for good food, our favorite sports teams, and rewatching New Girl. Once we had both graduated a second time, we began to settle into our careers and began to find our footing. After two and a half years together, Jake finally asked Brooke to marry him in Galveston on April 30, 2022. We are so excited to begin the next chapter together as husband and wife.
