...and one that worked out perfectly. It all started when Rachel moved back home to Long Island, NY after college in 2017 to start grad school. She needed a job to make it through. Shortly after starting, a co-worker kept chatting about how much she thought Rachel would get along with her boyfriend's best friend Jake. It took a good two months of convincing Jake and Rachel to meet, but in November 2017, they finally agreed. Safe to say it went pretty well! Jake asked Rachel to make it official only 5 days in. Although she could see things going somewhere, she played it safe and told him it's best to keep getting to know each other. Well, by December 6, 2017 she decided he had waited long enough. As they say, the rest is history. Naturally, Jake likes to remind Rachel all the time that "he was right" in wanting to make things official quickly. 7 years and a move across the country later, and now everyone gets to experience the Austin, Texas fun!
