It was August of 2019, the Geek'd Con doors had just opened and Bree was with her sister and cousin. Bree was dressed as a character from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap named Vaati. Minish Cap just so happens to be James's favorite Zelda game, so imagine his shock when he saw a seemingly random redhead wearing a costume for the villain of his favorite game. James nearly lost that dunce forever, because said dunce did not hear James calling her name. If it weren't for Bree's cousin Grace alerting her that someone needed her attention then they never would have met. They talked, they exchanged contact information, and then started dating on July 26th of 2020 after saying "I love you" for the first time.

The first "I love you" was when, one time, he was dropping me off after hanging out. I was getting out of the car, thought for a moment, then turned back to him and, at the exact same time, we told each other "I love you" right then. I cannot express how weird and wonderful that moment was, and we've been together since.

Now, after three years of dating, we got engaged on the same day as our first "I love you" in 2020 and now plan to get married on the same day in 2024!

I firmly believe that we're meant to be together. We both have great aspirations and work so well together (even with how our individual memory works lol), I couldn't ask for a better man.
