Drumtochty is a beautiful 19th century neo-gothic castle located in Laurencekirk, approximately 30 minutes from Aberdeen City. The castle is situated on 350 acres and is surrounded by beautiful Scottish woodlands. Drumtochty was built in 1812 for the Drummond Family; however before it was a wedding venue, it served as a family home, a prep school, and a restaurant. During WWII Drumtochty was purchased by the Norwegian government and utilized as a boarding school for Norwegian children who were refugees from the German occupation of Norway. 20 years ago Drumtochty was renovated into a magnificent wedding venue. During your 3 night stay the castle grounds will be exclusively ours. Feel free to explore the grounds or go off site and see what the surrounding area has in store for you.
