What is the dress code?

Dress code is cocktail attire. Please note the ceremony will be outside and on grass, so take that into consideration. Below is additional information on cocktail attire and we’ve also created a mood board to give you an idea of colors and theme of wedding if you find that helpful.

What should I wear to a wedding with a cocktail dress code?

When attending a wedding with a cocktail dress code, your goal is to look polished and put together without being overly elaborate. Take cues from details like the formality of the venue, the season, and even the vibe of the invitation to determine what to wear. A safe option for women is a knee- or tea-length dress; for men, a suit and tie is considered most appropriate.

Do you have a registry?

The most important thing is to have you with us on our special day. No gifts are needed or expected. However, because we’ve been asked we have created a honeymoon registry if you feel so inclined. Please see the registry tab for more information.

Why did you choose Ellijay?

When we thought about where to get married we knew immediately it wouldn’t be Jacksonville. Neither of us consider it home and we wanted somewhere that felt special to us. Bob has been taking the kids to Ellijay since they were toddlers and once Jamie joined the crew it quickly became our annual family tradition. We love the peacefulness of sitting on the cabin porch in the morning, the mountain views in the background that follow you throughout town and slower relaxed pace of the community that lets us slow down for awhile and take in the little moments in life. Ellijay will always have a special place in our hearts and what better place to share with our families as we start our next chapter.
