Coffee

For coffee we love Mountain Town Coffee. It is located downtown near the square. If you've never had a London Fog highly recommend. They actually have three versions get the Ellijay Fog for a fall treat.

Added bonus this place has records, books and local art.

131 N Main St, Ellijay, GA 30540

Food Recommendations

Ellijay has quite a few places to find a good bite to eat. In the main town you'll find a lot of chain places like Chick-Fil-A, Zaxbys and Longhorn. However, we love visiting the downtown square, so these are a few of our favorites:

Cantaberry, has soup, salads and a lot of different sandwiches.

5 S Side Sq, Ellijay, Georgia 30540

The Roof Ellijay, is a good dinner spot or to just grab a cocktail. If it's a nice day highly recommend sitting on the roof to take in the view of downtown Ellijay.

16 River Street Ellijay, Georgia 30540

Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza, you can't go wrong with pizza! They make authentic old-world pizza with an oven straight from Naples, Italy.

2 River St, Ellijay, Georgia 30540

The Butcher and Bottle, we have not been to this place, but we have read raving reviews. It would be great for dinner, and they have a Sunday Brunch! Its definitely on our list of next places to try.

24 River Street, Ellijay, Geogia 30540

Shopping

There are plenty of local shops you can check out in the square. There are leather shops, clothing boutiques, and pet store for our furry friends. Ellijay also has alot of antique shops. Our favorite is:

Southern Flare Antiques

1362 Highway 52 E, Ellijay, GA 30536.

Apple Orchards

We will be visiting BJ Reece on Saturday but our other favorites are:

Hillcrest Orchards, you can get freshly made on site hot apple cider doughnuts in their cafe plus ice cream! This is really our favorite for the little ones as they have a lot kid activities including goats and baby chicks.

9696 GA-52, Ellijay, Georgia 30536

R&A Orchards, they will be providing some special treats at the wedding and are definitely worth a visit. They have you pick apples and flowers (Zinnia, Sunflowers). They also have a great cafe and market with daily lunch specials like chicken and dumplings and other sandwich staples.

5505 GA-52, Ellijay, Georgia 30536

Wineries

Last but not least! Not many know there are so many wineries in North Georgia and with some amazing views!

Engelheim, Great view and amazing winery! Fun fact this is where we almost chose to get married. The cross in the middle of the vineyard stole Jamie’s heart.

Recommend the Doxology.

120 Lakeview Rd, Ellijay, GA 30540

Ott Vineyard, We will be serving Ott at the wedding. They have a great patio or indoor area and it’s hard to not “fall in love” with all their love themed wine names. Recommend Love Lee and Fascination.

230 Henry Evans Rd, Ellijay, GA 30536

Roo Vineyards - Roo is newer to the Ellijay scene but their view is something out of an art museum. They have a huge patio and generally have a food truck on the weekends.
