Hang out at Purity Spring Resort!

We chose this resort so you don't have to go far to experience many fun New Hampshire adventures! Grab a canoe, kayak, or stand-up-paddleboard and take a tour of Purity Lake. Recline at the beach for a sunset or a sun tan. We often see loons (the bird) out on the lake as well as other natural beauties. There are hiking trails throughout the resort so enjoy a walk in the woods while you are here. There's a jungle gym for young kids at the lake near the registration area. And don't forget all the other fun sports areas throughout the resort -- tennis, volleyball, basketball, you name it! There are also indoor areas to hang out by the fire, play board games, or grab a bite to eat. More info at this link:

Drive the Kancamagus Scenic Byway

The "Kanc" is an absolutely stunning scenic drive with many stops along the way to see beautiful natural scenery or get out of the car for some short hikes. Stop at the ranger station on the way in for a map and more information. Here's two websites with more details:

Visit North Conway

Want to see an adorable New Hampshire mountain town? Look no further than nearby North Conway! There is a cute downtown area with little shops, restaurants, and fun things for visitors to do. It may be a bit busy since our wedding is during peak "leaf peeping" season when people travel from all over the world to see the Fall folliage. Here's a link with more info:

Visit Lake Ossipee

Want to experience the Lakes Region of New Hampshire? Lake Ossipee is just a short drive from the resort. Park at Constitution Park near the Deer Run trail and follow a short trail down to the water. Across the huge lake you'll see glorious views of the Presidential Range of the White Mountains. Got kids? There's a fun playground on the other side of the park. You can either take a short trail or drive to the paved lot by the playground. More info at this link:

Hike in the White Mountain National Forest

White Mountain National Forest (which we think should be a National Park) covers over 800,000 acres of protected land and has tons of hiking trails. One of our nearby favorites is Diana's Baths, which features an easy hike to multiple waterfalls. If it's warm enough, you'll see people in the "baths" between the waterfalls. The Kanc listed above is also a highlight of the White Mountains.
