Our Wedding

Our story is a love at second sight, after a year of existing under the same school bells and taking turns reading different Shakespearean characters. Our story begins with braces and soccer games, followed by the weight of crowns at prom and tassels at graduation. Our story then stretched 320 miles between Boone and Wilmington, with weekend visits easing the distance. Since then, sand sleeps beside the continuation of our story, waves kissing the shore as we paint footsteps across our world. Together we've flown above mountains and stopped at more small-town gas stations than one might deem necessary. Today, we look forward to celebrating our tale of love and laughter. Our once upon a time that feels like liquid sunlight as it holds the heart's hand. Our wedding is not only a union of last names, but an uplifting of true love. An appreciation of our past, but also a promise that time will not fade the language we have built between our souls.

Our Story

The girl I created secret languages and friendship bracelets with. Our closets are connected and so are our childhood memories.

The sun to my moon, she might live a state away but the distance disappears the moment we see each other again. Kam knew both Brayden and I before we ever started dating.

Colorful and sweet as summer rain, Hannah has been my friend since middle school. Always full of interesting stories, she's the kind of friend you can't wait to hear from.

If the color yellow had a heartbeat, it would be Cat. She is pure daylight, and the kindest person you will ever meet. 

Carolina

Delaney was my first friend from Appalachian State and knowing her is what made my mountain experience so special. There is no person as vibrant and loving as this beautiful soul. Her contagious laugh and sense of humor brightens everywhere she goes.

My best friend since 7th grade, and my brother whose family adopted me every weekend. There's a never-ending stream of communication between North Carolina and Idaho that mostly consists of saying we'd beat each other in a fight.

Michael

My eldest brother who keeps our family running straight. He's a softspoken reassurance and I know if ever I'm in trouble he'd be a phone call away.

Dillon is the glue that holds the family together. He is always the first one to reach out when it's been longer than it should. Dillon is timid but goofy and sweet, and somehow always knows where everything is.

My short-lived college roommate and longer-lived friend. Connor helped introduce me to everyone he knew at UNCW so I wouldn't be alone in a new place.

I've considered James my little brother a long time before it will become official. My original gym partner, it's been a joy to watch him grow into a man.

We are overjoyed to have our soon to be shared sister as our flower girl! Danica is a beautiful soul who brings love and humor everywhere she goes.

My nephew who I tease like a little brother is trusted to carry our rings. He's a very positive fellow that will brighten everyone's day. 

Jordon

He takes after his parents in his love for reading... and staying up later than he should on his Nintendo Switch. His unique charm always brings life to every room he enters, and we're so lucky to have such a bright little cousin.

Ladies

Dress codes can be awfully confusing, so let me explain beyond the terms of dressy casual. Think of floor-length, to tea-length dresses in summery light hues. Colors can include light pinks, lilacs, yellows, oranges, blues, greens, or other colors that give the idea of flowers. Florals, ruffles, lace, and silks are encouraged to channel a lighthearted yet romantic elegance. Have fun with lovely spring dresses and bring wonderful colors to our celebration.

Gentlemen

Ties and jackets are optional alongside your outfits. We want to keep things a comfortable casual that still adheres to the spring theme. The weather should be warm, and the venue is outside so don't dress in an outfit that will make you feel overheated. I do encourage you to embrace touches of florals, pastels and neutral colors. Reach for slacks in place of jeans and dress shoes in place of sandals. When possible, match your date! Our wedding is a celebration of relationships and love stories, so complement each other!

Our Crepes & More...

Take a stroll through our favorite park. Swing by the pond and look at the turtles and overweight koi before challenging yourself to the mini ninja warrior jungle gym. Basketball courts, tennis courts, and a playground are features.

Long Leaf Park

A free adventure with a koi pond and a walk-through Japanese garden. We heavily recommend bringing some spare quarters so that you can feed the fish.

New Hanover County Arboretum | N.C. Cooperative Extension

Check out our favorite bookstore! This cute spot is tucked into downtown and showcases a romantic old shop. Check out the old books, typewriters, and stop by the piano in the back. Make sure to chat with the lady at the desk, she's a sweetheart who knows all the stories by heart.

Stop by this Pizzeria and get the garlic knots! This mouthwatering treat is one of the bride and grooms' favorite food stops. Beware, the meal portion sizes are quite large, and you will most likely need a take home plate!
