Note: Guests of all backgrounds are warmly invited to wear African print. We spoke with our elders, and they encouraged us to invite everyone to participate. In this setting, the clothing is not being taken out of context or used for profit—it is being worn in celebration, at the invitation of the people whose culture it represents. Think of it as a gesture of respect and participation, similar to covering your head in a place of worship.

That said, anything vibrant, colorful, and tropical that makes you feel comfortable and happy is exactly the right outfit for the evening.
