The start! Ten years ago, Jasmine and Shane went to a high school dance together and they became each other’s “forever date” this included snowballs, homecomings, proms, weddings, and now (finally) their own wedding. While this was the official start of their relationship, back in 2011 Jasmine saw Shane a few rows behind her and her basketball team at the Appleton East boy’s state tournament and mentioned to the girls he was cute. Shannon, did not appreciate the comment at the time. It is all about the long game, people!

Fast forward - we made it to college together! This was such a great time of expanding our friend groups, and finding out more about ourselves. La Crosse gave us the perfect space to grow up together and encourage each other to reach our academic goals.

January of 2019 we got the opportunity to go on a medical mission trip together in the beautiful country of Guatemala! This trip gave us such a wider view of global healthcare and further encouraged Shane he was going into medicine for the right reasons. We made so many incredible friends and memories.

Made a trip to CO and fell in love with the state! Little did we know - we'd be back in three years, living here full time.

College graduation came and went. Unfortunately neither of us walked the stage due to a little thing called Covid - ever heard of it? Post grad, we moved in together for the first time in Madison!

Madison was great but it was time to move on because Shane got into MEDICAL SCHOOL! We got to move out to the beautiful and fun state of Colorado.

June of 2023 we took a trip to Venice, Florence and Rome, Italy. One day, we took a vespa ride up the Chianti region, drank wine and ate lunch at Castello de Vichiomaggio, and Shane proposed in an incredible garden overlooking the countryside. He claims Jasmine never actually said yes, but she’ll always disagree. The rest is history and the best is yet to come!
