In the summer of 2020, as the sun painted the Colorado skies, Corey was working as an HVAC technician at the serene Garden of the Gods Resort in Colorado Springs. At the same time, Jasmine, with dreams of a fresh start, was moving from Kansas to the stunning mountains of Colorado. She began working as the kids' club manager at the same resort, unaware that fate had already set the stage for their paths to cross.One day, while Corey was replacing the HVAC filters in the Recreation Center, their eyes met. In an instant, there was an undeniable connection, a spark that felt both new and familiar, as if they had always known each other. They became friends almost immediately, sharing laughs, moments of joy, and an effortless bond over the next month. It was a fleeting but unforgettable time filled with games of darts, late-night chats, and memories that would linger long after.Though they both felt the pull of something more, their lives were moving in different directions, filled with other dreams and commitments. Corey’s heart longed for a fresh start in Florida, and Jasmine had her own path to follow in the mountains. Their paths drifted apart, as time often does, but neither could forget the spark that had ignited between them.Years passed, each of them learning and growing in their own way, but neither could escape the memory of that moment, that connection. Then, one day, Corey decided to take a leap of faith. With a simple text, they reconnected—and what began as a message soon blossomed into a four-hour Facetime call. And just like that, the distance between them vanished. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, as they poured their hearts into long conversations, laughing until the night slipped away, as though the years between them had never been.Their connection deepened in ways neither could have imagined. Flights were booked, weekends were spent together, and slowly, they began to fall in love all over again. Eight months later, they made the decision to take the next step—together. Corey packed his bags, and soon, he was helping Jasmine pack up her apartment, ready to leave behind the mountains for a new life by the ocean.Their journey across the country was filled with laughter, road trip snacks—think Hot Cheetos and gas station hot dogs—and their favorite crime podcasts, a memory in the making with each mile. After 28 hours, they reached their new home, ready for the next chapter of their adventure together.Time continued to pass, and love only grew. Jasmine graduated college, Corey advanced in his career, and their commitment to each other became stronger with every lesson learned, every challenge faced, and every joyful moment shared. It became undeniable to Corey—this was the love of his life, the one he wanted forever.On November 16th, 2024, with all the certainty in his heart, Corey got down on one knee, gazing up at Jasmine with a love that had only deepened over the years. He told her he couldn’t imagine a future without her and asked for her hand in marriage.As we continue to build our life together, we are excited to share this next chapter with you.
