Our story started with a first date at Hopscotch in Oakland, meeting on a popular dating website where we bonded over our shared love of the Golden State Warriors and fitness. But after that fateful first date, it would be over a year until the second. Rebecca's optometry residency in Portland put some distance and time between us, but not forever. Becca's chance text message to Jason after a year away rekindled the spark, and the rest was history. We explored the world together, visiting Spain, Mexico, Hong Kong, Macau, and Japan, and Portugal. We cheered our beloved Warriors together through their ups and downs. Most of our dates included ice cream tasting at our (Becca's) favorite ice cream shop Salt &amp; Straw. We move in to a Lake Merritt apartment in Oakland and even joined a crossfit gym together. During shelter-in-place, we took up hiking to explore the natural beauty of the Bay Area. On February 13th, 2021, during a long (and nervous) Point Reyes 8-mile hike to Alamere Falls, Jason proposed to Rebecca at a waterfall off the cliffside, and she said "Yes!" We are so grateful for all our family and friends, and can't wait to celebrate with you all on our special day!
