Q + A

Is there a dress code?

Although a suit and tie are not required, we ask that all guests dress semi-formal. We would like guests to avoid wearing the colour green and to please not wear any bold prints. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be held outdoors and on grass. This information may be helpful when choosing your type of heels! *Feel free to bring comfy clothes for later in the evening. The bridal party will be switching into comfy clothes after the bride and groom complete sunset photos.

When do we need to RSVP by?

We ask that you RSVP through our website by March 1, 2025. The earlier we can have all the numbers finalized, the easier it is for us to plan the perfect day!

What is there to do between ceremony and reception?

Lucky you! Jayne and Mitch have decided to do a first look, meaning that most of the photos are completed! There should be minimal downtime before the reception begins.

Should I bring my own food if I have dietary restrictions?

We have friends and family that have various food allergies or preferences and we have tried to accommodate them all! Please reach out if you have specific concerns.

Can I bring a plus one or my kids?

As we are trying to keep our numbers low, we are unable to accommodate plus ones, unless specifically indicated on your invitation. Although the wedding will not be entirely kid free, we ask that unless your child is listed on the invite they do not attend.

Where do I park?

There should be ample parking on site at Uncle Howie's Property, and we will have signs directing you where to park. However, if you are able to carpool that would be the best option. If you plan to drink at the wedding, we request that you find an appropriate ride home. Your vehicle can stay overnight on the property.

What is being done to help with the mosquitos?

We are aware that Fort Langley is known as mosquito heaven... we have tried to take all the necessary steps to help the guests out. If you use a specific bug spray, please bring your own. Otherwise we will have various sprays to help deter mosquitos.

Is Bruno going to be there?

HECK YES! Our buggy-boo is our favourite guest and he will most definitely be out and about. Anyone who knows Bruno knows that he is a bundle of energy... we take no responsibly for damages caused by Bruno. Treats will be readily available to give him though.

Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony/reception?

We have specially picked a photographer that we feel will do a great job capturing our special day! We ask that there are no photos taken during the ceremony but you are more than welcome to take photos throughout the reception. We just ask that you kindly stay out of the way of our photographer.

Is there a bar?

Our wedding will have an open bar, but be warned, it will also be heavily photographed and any drunken shenanigans will be documented and thoroughly mocked for years to come. There will be a box at the bar that will happily accept donations towards our honeymoon. No need to tip the bartender, we've got that covered. *We do ask that you drink responsibly as this is a private property. *

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm. We ask that you arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony. Mitch and Jayne are doing first look photos prior to the ceremony and ask that you respect their privacy and try not to sneak a peak!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be outdoors and uncovered. Our reception will be held outdoors but covered by a rental tent. We expect it to be warm and will have refreshments easily available for when needed.
