October 2021, beside the Orange River…

Their paths crossed on a sunny rowing trip filled with adventure — and a few sparks they didn’t see coming.

The first moment that really stood out was when Jean struggled to open a cooler box. Lumé calmly rowed past and, without much effort, flipped the lid open. The surprised look on Jean’s face was something to remember!

But it was on the last night of the trip that Jean truly surprised Lumé. The guy who seemed more likely to "yskas skuif" than sokkie suddenly asked Lumé to dance — and confidently took over the dance floor.

What followed were coffee chats on the grass at the bib, hours of talking and laughing, and a quiet feeling between them that something special had started.

And now? Now they’re about to begin their greatest adventure yet.
