Jeff and Michelle first met as seniors at the University of San Diego in the theater department. See, there's this fun little student-run theater event called "Student Lab" that Michelle auditioned for and Jeff wrote a play for. Although Michelle was cast in roles that weren't a part of Jeff's play, they still bonded over their Lebanese roots after auditions. Their first date was at the Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park and the rest, as you say, is history.

Not wanting to end a good thing once graduation hit, Jeff and Michelle soon found themselves dating long-distance while Michelle worked on her Ph.D at UNLV and Jeff worked as an Analyst for the Navy in San Diego. The hardest distance occurred while Michelle lived and worked in Berlin for 6 months, but of course, she gave Jeff a great excuse to visit both Berlin and Paris! After 4.5 years of countless text messages and long drives between LV and SD, they finally closed the distance early 2017.

On July 4, 2017, Jeff decided that it was time to recognize what everyone knew all along... that they should get married! Jeff proposed at Shelter Island right after the Fourth of July fireworks ended... providing a much more spectacular finale then the fireworks could ever provide.
