One glorious Tuesday night at the Kollege Klub, an infamous watering hole at the University of Wisconsin, Jen spotted Jacob from across the bar. Insistent upon meeting him, Jen found her way over to where Jacob was standing. She quickly found herself at a loss for words, and all she could muster up the courage to say was “do you want a tequila shot?”. And the rest is history. Over the past 8 years, Jen and Jacob have enjoyed traveling all over the world together, as well as frequently spending time with their families in Steamboat and Door County. They are excited for their next big trip to Thailand for their honeymoon. As new homeowners in Lincoln Park, Jen and Jacob look forward to starting their married life together in Chicago, while continuing to enjoy the things they love - running, skiing, and spending time on the lake. They are excited to celebrating with each and every one of you on their big weekend!

FAVORITE HIKES

Hike Vista Nature Trail for an easy 1-mile loop on the Steamboat ski mountain. Take the Gondola up and down from the base. If you're feeling adventurous, hike up to the gondola on Thunderhead Trail (3.8 miles one-way).

Steamboat Mountain Trails

Flat 7.5-mile paved trail through the heart of downtown Steamboat and along the Yampa River.

Yampa River Core Trail

Easy 1/4 mile hike down to the Lower Fish Creek Falls. It's a 5-minute drive from downtown Steamboat. Continue to the Upper Fish Creek Falls and Long Lake if you're feeling adventurous.

Fish Creek Falls

Easy beautiful hike along a river, 2 minutes outside of town. The entire trail is 5.2 miles, but out and back, so you can turn around whenever!

Spring Creek Trail

Hard, yet beautiful hike in the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness (9 miles out-and-back). It's a 30-mile drive West of Steamboat to the Slavonia Trailhead. After a long hike, stop by the Clark Store for ice cream and pizza from Clyde's Pies.
