Our Wedding

We met in 2013 when we worked together and became really close friends. It was pure chance that he had moved to a small town in the middle of the mountains and she had just been hired for her first job. We worked together for a couple years and maintained our friendship. We had a friend group that would get together to make dinners and watch movies and go down the occasional rabbit hole. Each of us had been in other relationships, but continued to stay friends even though we didn't work together any more. When we both found ourselves single, our friendship had evolved into many more dinners and movie nights enjoying each others company until we realized we both wanted many more nights just like these. That was almost 8 years ago.. We still enjoy spending time in the kitchen together and cozying up on the couch. Having a strong foundation of friendship has been the best part of our relationship. Getting to marry your best friend and have someone who loves and supports you unconditionally is something we will always find new ways to be grateful for. We cannot wait to have our friends and family help us take this next step and become husband and wife!

We would love to have our friends and family dress up with us! Dress code is formal attire. As it is Renaissance faire inspired, if you would like to dress in more themed attire please consider making it more formal. Ladies, long jewel toned dresses, a nice coat or cloak and sensible shoes as the ground will be uneven. Gentlemen, dress shirt and tie, sports coat or suit and sword. Jewel toned color palette is prefered or black.

Dress Code

Our Cocktail Hour(s) will not be a short affair. We have many activities for you to enjoy while the sun is still up, including everything from making your own flower crown, throwing axes and painting your own bookmark. Please come prepared to take home many trinkets and souvenirs to remember our day. We are theming our wedding like a renaissance faire, so cocktail will have many stations set up with activities. You will be given a program with your welcome bag upon arriving that will map out cocktail. We would encourage our family and friends to think of our wedding as more of an event not a traditional formal wedding. The bride and groom would also like an opportunity to get a picture with each family and friend before entering into the dinner reception tents. 5:30 pm is when our guests will line up for pictures and be invited to go find your seats once your picture is taken. Dinner reception tables will be be closed off until then. We hope that between lawn games, photobooths, painting, and board games there will be something for everyone to enjoy on our day!

Cocktail Hours

We do not want our loved ones drinking and driving therefore we will be setting up tents for those who would like to camp over on the property. If you own a camper or RV there will be space on the property to drydock and stay over as well. If you would like either of these options please contact the bride and a space will be reserved for you. Bride- 559-260-5898 We encourage you to book accommodations as soon as possible as Yosemite attracts many tourists in the Spring. Oakhurst is about a 45 minute drive from the property and will have more hotel options if you are comfortable with driving mountain roads at night.
