We're getting married at Disney!

Disney is a very special place to both of us and our families. It's the first place we traveled to together in 2010. Since then, we've returned together over the years, and we've even visited Tokyo and Hong Kong Disney. We can't wait to share the magic with you. All events will be held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. There are three hotels on property: the Swan, the Dolphin, and the Swan Reserve. All are within walking distance of each other (approximately 5-10 minutes).

______________________________________________________________________ COVID safety is front of mind for us, especially since we'll have some guests who are immunocompromised or otherwise at-risk. We strongly encourage all guests to get vaccinated and boosted, and to be mindful if visiting the Disney parks (e.g. wear a good mask while indoors and in crowded settings). There are plenty of great hotels on Disney property or in the Lake Buena Vista area. Our favorite is the <a href="https://swandolphin.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Swan and Dolphin</a>, where the wedding will take place. See below for room block information.

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin

To book a room:- Use the online form in the link above. Alternatively, you can call in-house reservations.- Operating Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-6pm EST and Saturday and Sunday 8:00am-5pm EST- Call 800.227.1500 and select Option 1 (if requested).- The Group Name/Code to reference are: Siegel and Callahan Wedding/ SI6138.- If you have a Marriott Bonvoy number, have that handy to add to your reservation.- Please ask for the&nbsp;DISNEY EXPERIENCE CONFIRMATION # (8 digits).&nbsp;This is the number you need to link to Disney reservations if/when you start making those. A few caveats:- Rooms may have a king size bed or 2 queens. You can request a specific bed type, but it is not guaranteed. If you want to guarantee a specific bed type, they'll charge $20 extra a night.- Rooms are based on double occupancy. If you want to have 3 or 4 adults (18 yrs and older) in the room, you'll unfortunately need to pay $25 a night for each person AND the $20 for bed type as they won't guarantee you'll have two queen beds.&nbsp;- Note that you need to accurately reflect the number of people in a room in order to make Disney park reservations.- If you book more than one room for multiple adults, give a different adult's name for each room for more easily linking to My Disney Experience, the Disney reservation system. Let us know if you have any issues or if you're told that the block is full, so we can look into additional options.&nbsp;

Here's a link to other Disney hotels. Disney hotels offer free transportation to the amusement parks and Extra Magic Hours (additional morning/evening times in the park). You can also check out hotels and AirBnbs right outside of Disney!

Alternative Hotels

Uber or Lyft is the best way to get from Orlando International Airport and other hotels to the Swan and Dolphin Resort. Once at the Swan and Dolphin, all wedding events are within walking distance. If you're staying at any Disney property, including the Swan and Dolphin, there's free transportation to the Disney amusement parks. Otherwise, you can Uber/Lyft to the parks or drive and pay for parking. There will be free parking for drive-in guests the day of the wedding.

Visit Walt Disney World!

The main attraction in the area is Walt Disney World! Check out all or some of Disney's four theme parks. If you plan on visiting a Disney park, note that since COVID-19, Disney now requires you to buy a ticket and <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/park-reservations/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">reserve a spot</a> in the park in advance. You don't need a Disney ticket, though, to come to the wedding! See below for some other fun things in the area. Jen is always happy to help plan a Disney trip, so feel free to reach out with any questions :). Besides the four theme parks, Disney also has two water parks - Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Typhoon Lagoon is our favorite, with North America's largest wave pool and "water coaster" ride!

The Swan and Dolphin is a beautiful resort, with multiple restaurants, swimming pools, beach volleyball, and swan boat rentals.

The Boardwalk is around the corner from the Swan and Dolphin Resort. Some of our favorite things to do include renting a surrey, listening to Dueling Pianos at Jelly Rolls, and watching magicians and jugglers.

Jen's best friend from high school. We met in 7th grade English class where we both wrote a fractured fairytale about Snow White.

Andrew's best friend from college. We bonded over our first problem set, where an ant walked along a hexacoil wire with a laser strapped to its back.

Jen's sister-in-law. We met for the first time over Zoom, but have bonded over our shared love of animals, holiday celebrations, and podcasts!

Andrew's friend and coworker. We used to live together and rock climb 4 days a week. We wound up owning many identical articles of clothing.

Jen's college roommate. We've shared many things, from party dresses to study sessions, but not a love of Disney. She said she'd go to Disney World when I got married though ;).
