How do all modern love stories start? An app, of course! Marc and I met in the summer of 2014. He was in the city for an internship and was looking to meet people. We set a date for a wine bar. A very drunk lady at the bar told us that we looked like a great couple and should get married. Flash forward several&nbsp;years, and here we are!

Introduction  to French Weddings for Americans

There are some big differences between American and French weddings.&nbsp; #1A couple&nbsp;must get married at the mayor's office to have a legal wedding; however,&nbsp;&nbsp;since the&nbsp;ceremony at the mayor's office&nbsp;isn't very&nbsp;personal, many couples choose to&nbsp;have a second ceremony.&nbsp;The dress for the&nbsp;mayor's office can be more casual and often people will change their outfits for the second ceremony. Please do whatever makes you comfortable!&nbsp;#2The wedding cake isn't a traditional cake. Instead it's called a pièce montée, a tower of cream puffs!&nbsp;Yes, please!&nbsp;#3The party doesn't end!&nbsp;We will have a band, followed by a dj and look forward to partying with you all night.&nbsp;&nbsp;
