How we met

Picture of How we met

How do all modern love stories start? An app, of course! Marc and I met in the summer of 2014. He was in the city for an internship and was looking to meet people. We set a date for a wine bar. A very drunk lady at the bar told us that we looked like a great couple and should get married. Flash forward several years, and here we are!

Introduction to French Weddings for Americans

There are some big differences between American and French weddings.

#1

A couple must get married at the mayor's office to have a legal wedding; however, since the ceremony at the mayor's office isn't very personal, many couples choose to have a second ceremony. The dress for the mayor's office can be more casual and often people will change their outfits for the second ceremony. Please do whatever makes you comfortable!

#2

The wedding cake isn't a traditional cake. Instead it's called a pièce montée, a tower of cream puffs! Yes, please!

#3

The party doesn't end! We will have a band, followed by a dj and look forward to partying with you all night.
