The first text Jenn sent to James after swiping right on his Bumble profile. Thankfully her lack of thinking before she speaks was endearing to James

For their first date, since it was during the peak of the Pandemic, Jenn and James went on separate walks and chatted on the phone. A very funny yet ridiculous conversation about a Zucchini after the phone date made them both see how great they were for each other.

After 3 month of virtual dating Jenn and James finally met IRL! One of the first things they did was get a drink from Lucky Tea. They still love going to visit there just to remember their "first" date.

Most weekends during that Fall, they got to explore different areas in the Bay in unique ways since the Pandemic was still very much a thing. They went to the Rose Garden, Apple Picking, and hung out in downtown Campbell.

Little did they know they would be engaged a year from this date!

After 8 months of dating they make it official on Valentine's Day!

The first time they visited Shoreline Lake/Rengstorff together. They grew to love it so much they kept going back, and eventually chose it for their wedding venue! Later on that day, James will tell Jenn he loves her, and she'll return the affection.

James meets Phebs for the first time!

Jenn and James went through some really unique milestones in their first year of dating, like getting their Covid Vaccines.

James spends mother's day in Santa Cruz with Jenn and Phebs. He's a goofball which makes Phebs adore him even more.

James brings Jenn up to his hometown, Crescent City.

Jenn learned that James' ancestors helped found Santa Clara. So they took a trip to the Mission to explore all they learned. This will later be the spot James proposes!

James meets Jenn's mom for the first time when she comes out to visit. They have a fantastic time together, hanging out at the Boardwalk and Great America. James impresses Jenn's mom a ton when he can keep up with her movie quotes she throws at him.

James proposed to Jenn on the old steps at the Santa Clara Mission. Those steps are one of the oldest sections of the Mission still existing today.

James' friends surprised them with congratulations and balloons at their weekly trivia!

James spends his first Christmas with the extended family! 🎄

James moves in with Jenn and Phebs!

They continue to be ridiculously silly together, and hope to always be.

A few months after the proposal the couple found out that one of James' best friends was getting married at the very placed he proposed! It was so perfect!

Jenn and James hosted an engagement party in their backyard to try out some yummy BBQ and treats.

Their first big trip as a family together to Tahoe and then to Reno was such a fantastic time!

It was only a matter of time before Jenn sucked James in as a full time Buckeye fan. O - H!!

Jenn, Phebs and James are looking forward to continuing in creating a beautiful and loving extended family together.
