Where should we stay?

We wanted to make our wedding celebration a vacation for everyone and more than just one day or night so we took the hassle away of you searching for a hotel and reserved a room block at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. It is all inclusive so your room, food and all drinks are unlimited and included! We scoured hotels, blogs and sites to find the place with the best food, top shelf liquor, a microbrewery onsite, awesome amenities and amazing staff and service. We kindly ask you as our guests that you book with our block as since we secured a discounted rate passed on to you for the wedding. Any specific questions can be directed to Shelby or Charlie at Simply Classic Travels

What's the difference between the club rooms and the turquoize rooms?

The club rooms include a private lounge featuring premium drinks, appetizers, and continental breakfast with in room espresso machine. Rooms include a private balcony and a mini bar which is stocked daily.

The turquoize rooms are set off in their own tower designating an adult-only section. Guests staying here are welcome to dine at the adult-only restaurant, access to Punta Vista rooftop infinity pool, and private elevator access to Zen Spa, complete with hydrotherapy services. Rooms include a hot tub on your private balcony and in-room tablets to order room service or to reach your own private butler, complimentary mini bar and floor to ceiling glass corner showers are in these room types.

Turquoize "SKY" rooms means they are above the 8th floor.

Do we have to stay at Hyatt Ziva or can we stay somewhere else and still attend the wedding?

We kindly ask all our guests to reserve your stay for the wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. We would love to spend time with our family and friends outside of the wedding day celebration.

When should we arrive?

We would love for our guests to make a vacation out of our celebration. Therefore, we reserved the room block from October 18 to 22, 2023. We recommend that our guests arrive at the resort 1-2 days prior to ceremony and stay as long as you like.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Resort formal: Gentleman: button up shirt, with or without a blazer, pants, slacks, khaki pants. Ladies: fit and flare dresses in mid length, nice pantsuits. Something you can still let loose and dance in later!

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Aside from the few children in the family, we ask that this be an extended weekend away from the little ones. Thank you for understanding!

What do we do about transportation?

We have found that USA transfers to be the best service at the best price! See the link below

What is the weather like? What should we pack?

The weather will be warm! Humidity will be here too since we are on the Caribbean side. What you'll be mostly in is a swimsuit which isn't that bad of a thing, plenty of lounging around in and out of the pools and the top rated sandy beach with NO annoying sargassum (seaweed) to worry about unlike other parts of the Cancun, Playa Del Carmen and Tulum region!

Travel size gold bond powder is a dream!

Bring sunblock as it is pricey down there. Don't forget the lip balm or zinc. As of now its still 100ml in carry on luggage for sunblock (get it together TSA!)

Long sleeve SPF shirts are also great in an out of the water.

A hat(s), big straw ones are nice and can clip on the outside of your carry-on bag but bucket hats are more packable friendly.

Your own personal hydroflask or yeti type cup that's insulated AND has a straw since the resort has a no straw policy. Great to keep your drinks cold, pool/ocean water out, and ice from melting.

Floaties are nice to chill in too while in the pool or ocean.

Be sure to bring some shirts with sleeves to be permitted in the restaurants (no tank tops there), as well as a pair of pants or 2 and some casual collared shirts. Most places you'll be ok with shorts and a t shirt, ladies have a cover up, some restaurants may say no swim suits/bikinis.

See above for our preferred wedding attire :-)

Booking cabanas, other insider details!

Facebook has a group that is reallllly informative! Tons of info can be found there on really anything you can think of. Use the search magnifying glass to narrow it down to what you're looking for. As far as cabanas go we can book them as early as 30 days prior to our arrival. "Hyatt Ziva Cancun Fans" on Facebook
