Information and Details

When should we arrive?

The ceremony starts promptly at 4:30 pm, so we suggest planning on getting to the venue between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is semi-formal. We know it's coastal, but please no jeans, flip flops, snorkels, etc. Ladies, please do not wear white or any pattern or print that has a lot of white. Please see this guide if you have any questions: https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-semi-formal

Which airport is the closest to the wedding venue?

The airport in Wilmington (ILM) will be the closest airport to the venue. Other options that might be cheaper are to fly into Raleigh-Durham (RDU) or Charlotte (CLT). Both of these options will have longer drives to Southport.

Are children welcome?

For our wedding and reception, we are asking that only children 5 years old and over attend. We also ask that you keep an eye on your children at all times and make sure they're being safe and courteous.

We can't find a sitter for our child. Can we bring them anyway even though they're under 5?

Sorry, but as stated above we cannot host children under 5 at our wedding!

What is the guest or plus-one policy?

If you’ve received a plus one, either their name or “and Guest” will be written on your formal invitation. Due to the small size of the venue, we can only accommodate a certain number of guests. The RSVP page on our wedding website will allow you to let us know who you're bringing if your guest’s name was not listed on the invitation.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

No! We're having an unplugged wedding ceremony (no technology, phones, etc.). We are having an amazing team of photographers and videographers capture the wedding day. Having your phone out during the ceremony will not only be rude but will get in the way of the professionals. We will share the professional photos and videos once they are delivered to us.

Where should we park?

Please remember that the wedding is occurring at the height of coastal NC tourist season. Parking is mildly limited, so carpooling or ubering is suggested. There is a photo of nearby parking below that shows where you can park near the venue.
