Tom & Jennie's story began on 2/2/22 when they matched on Bumble. Since the ladies are required to send a message first, Jennie sent Tom a GIF of a horse and simply wrote “Hay!”. Little did they know they’d be planning a barn wedding a couple years later. . .

They had their first date on February 15th, the day after Valentine’s Day. A few months later, Tom & Jennie went on their first backpacking trip together to Virgin Falls, TN. Ever since that time, a love for travel and shared adventures has been a hallmark of their relationship. Tom & Jennie have been fortunate to share quick weekend getaways and incredible trips around the country. One of their favorites included a 17-day road trip to Utah where they backpacked over 100 miles exploring desert canyons and ancient ruins, and even climbed up a 700-foot scramble into Steven's Arch.

The most memorable trip, however, was a visit to Latvia during the summer of 2023. Tom has many close relatives living there and makes a point to visit regularly and participate in the culture. Jennie was able to experience this amazing country that holds a special place in Tom's heart. While there, Tom took Jennie on a short trip to Kuldiga, a very small (and very charming) town in the Western part of the country. While standing in a beautiful spot one evening, overlooking the Venta Waterfall and the famous Old Brick Bridge, Tom popped the question. Jennie was beyond happy - and shocked! This spot, and the waterfall below, will always be a special place for Tom and Jennie to return to. The rest, as they say, is history.
