Our Wedding

Brent and Jennifer met for the first time at Tim Horton’s in Sage Creek. Ironically, Brent just so happened to receive a Timmy’s gift card for his birthday that day from his mom. Brent was super excited, and generously used his birthday gift to buy Jen’s iced coffee. It’s as if it was meant to be! They talked for over 3 hours there before they finally had to leave for their evening plans. Happily, a second, third and fourth date would ensue in the weeks to follow. When Jennifer graduated with her teaching certificate, they moved into their first apartment together, along with Pussycat, and celebrated their one year anniversary at their dining room table not long after. That year, Jennifer started her first teaching job, Brent got his Red Seal, and the couple bought their first home together in the same neighbourhood where they went on their first date. Not long after moving into their first home, Brent decided to order an engagement ring for Jennifer and started planning the perfect proposal. He chose Moraine Lake in Banff National Park, the couples favourite vacation spot, and on July 15th, 2023, they got engaged! Brent and Jennifer look forward to celebrating their love with their family and friends as they tie the knot this summer.

Best Western Premier Winnipeg East

We want to make sure our guests get home safely. We have reserved a 30 passenger bus to provide transportation from the Best Western at 900 Regent Ave in Winnipeg to Hawthorn Estates and back. The shuttle will depart from the Best Western at 3:30, and depart from Hawthorn Estates at midnight. This service may also be used by guests not staying at the hotel, but who live in the city and use a taxi/ride share service to and from the Best Western. Please note we will require guests to reserve their spot on the shuttle as part of the RSVP. If there are seats remaining, they will be first come first served. Priority for the shuttle will be given to out of town guests. It is recommended that guests arrange for transportation if needed in advance as taxi and ride share service will likely be unavailable on demand due to distance from the city of Winnipeg.

Because we have lived together for quite some time, we do not need any household items, but if you would like to contribute cash funds, it would be greatly appreciated! They will be used toward our honeymoon trip in Iceland, and preservation of our wedding flowers.
