Leavenworth is the Queen of Things To Do:

- Go hiking or mountain biking at Ski Hill, and then enjoy a beer on the patio. Ski Hill is an old Forest Service lodge with a beautiful trail system, and a couple rope tows that operate in the winter. The lodge serves snacks, drinks, beer and wine.

- Cruise around the Bavarian themed town and buy a cheezy t-shirt. Get some gelato (the most fair-priced ice cream down town), and walk around the Blackbird Island trails that flank the river

- Go tubing or paddleboard the Icicle/ Wenatchee rivers. There are several operations that run shuttles for folks and rent tubes.

-Rent bikes and get a bike tour

-Yes, we have an alpine slide. The locals overwhelmingly voted against it, but we're not gonna hold it against you if you go!

-Mountain biking trails abound around here, as do hiking trails. Make sure you have Forest Pass day passes for the forest service parking lots. Trails here can be quite steep. Some lead to very popular lakes and the parking lots are crowded (any lake in the Enchantments Range). Plan accordingly to either go really early, or after 1 pm to (not-entirely) avoid the most crowded times.

- For a flat, four mile walk, head up Icicle Road to the Icicle Gorge trail. It skirts rugged portions of the Icicle river.

- We live in one of the Washington Wine Valleys, and wineries are ALL OVER THE PLACE! Wine tasting abounds in Leavenworth, as well as all around the area. Drive up Eagle Creek for a beautiful, nearby winery surrounded by mountains.

- If you like antiques, the nearby town of Cashmere has a few shops you. may enjoy.

- The closest pharmacy is at Safeway in Leavenworth.

- Wenatchee is our largest nearby town if you need any types of City Things. There's a Costco, some grocery stores, a grocery outlet, a store with a robust toy and ammo section, and a few places to buy pull tabs.

- Head to Barn Beach just outside the downtown core for some river swimming.

- Take the drive to the town of Plain, which you can turn into a loop that ends up at Cole's Corner on Hwy 2. Beautiful scenery abounds.

-Rock climbing abounds here-- you'll need to research where to go, since we aren't really climbers. But it's out there!

- There's an escape room in downtown Leavenworth. We've never heard of anyone doing it, so it either means it isn't popular, or that the clues are really hard and folks have been stuck in there since 2022.
