As with many modern day love stories, ours begins with the hell of dating apps. We matched and had covered all the usual opening conversations: likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc. It was approaching Halloween (much like our wedding date) and Nick suggested going on our first date to a haunted house. Well, that the was the plan, but turns out Nick double booked himself, and I thought this might be a sign he wasn't that into me. We consistently kept talking, however, and after a stressful day at work, I suggested that we just meet up, order pizza, and watch a movie, without any stressful expectations. Turns out, that was a better date than either of us could have planned. We both seemed very comfortable with each other right off the bat, however, I don't think either of us really saw romance in our future. We both kind of friend-zoned each other, but continued to talk, hang-out casually, and developed an amazing friendship. We slowly became each other's person and best friend. After some time, growing closer and closer, the romance slowly developed. Being in denial, we tried to date other people, and realized how dumb we both were, and what a special relationship we had together. Nick says I am his rock and biggest support and I say Nick is always there when I need him and makes me laugh every single day. I can not wait to marry my best friend.
