Things to Do

Activities are endless in the Tampa Bay area. We would like to highlight a few of our personal favorites

...

Saint Petersburg Pier

ExPIERience the New $92 Million St. Pete Pier District on St. Pete's Beautiful Bayfront. Spread out along 26 acres of sparkling Tampa Bay waterfront, the new St. Pete Pier District offers a public green space unlike any other. We highly recommend Teak (located at the end of the pier) for an upscale waterfront dining experience. Please note that you must add yourself to the waiting list via OpenTable. On the weekend, you can also browse multiple local vendors at the Pier outdoor marketplace

Egmont Key National Wildlife Refuge

St. Petersburg, FL 33715, USA

Welcome to warm sunshine, cool breezes and soft sands. With 35 miles of sugar-sand bliss to choose from, you're sure to find the perfect beach for you. For history buffs, or anyone looking to feel like they are in the caribbean , we highly recommend Egmont Key. Accessible only by the Egmont Key Ferry, Egmont Key has a unique natural and cultural history, including a lighthouse that has stood since 1858. During the 19th century, the island served as a camp for captured Seminoles at the end of the Third Seminole War and was later occupied by the Union Navy during the Civil War. In 1898, as the Spanish-American War threatened, Fort Dade was built on the island and remained active until 1923.

In addition to touring the historic sites and trails, visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, wildlife viewing and picnicking. Egmont Key is located at the mouth of Tampa Bay, southwest of Fort DeSoto Beach. Note that ferry reservations must be made in advance and there is an associated fee. Information on the ferry can be found here: https://www.hubbardsmarina.com/egmont-key-ferry-cruise/
