It all started when Jenni and Steven were invited to a singles dinner hosted by a dear family friend, Dorrie Platt. Jenni helped serve at previous dinners and was looking forward to another! Steven had turned down invitations to Mrs. Dorrie’s dinners twice before, but to her surprise, he said yes to her dinner in September 2023. Dorrie sat Jenni and Steven next to one another at the dinner table, and thankfully she sat Jenni on Steven’s left (his good ear!). Jenni enjoyed talking with Steven and thought he was kind, handsome, thoughtful, and playful, plus she knew some of his family members. After a couple weeks of sleuthing (she had to find out if he was truly single!), Jenni texted Steven after pulling his number from a phone list. The rest is history!
