Our Story

Skyler wasn’t exactly looking for love when he braved the wild safari known as online dating. Life was good—he ran a construction company, had three grown sons, and spent his time flying airplanes, tearing up the highway on his Harley, or seeing how much mud he could launch onto the Bronco.

Jennifer had her own adventure resume. She grew up far from Utah, traveled the globe building a career in sporting and corporate events, and eventually landed in Park City, Utah. After a short stint there, she decided Utah was home—probably because the mountains were gorgeous… or maybe because après-ski is a legitimate lifestyle.

Then came the swipe. Skyler spotted a natural, unfiltered smile in her photos—well, what you could see of it around the 80-pound Goldendoodle named Rustler. Their messages clicked instantly. When they finally met for drinks, they talked for hours. Then Skyler paid the bill… and Jennifer bolted. Full-on sprint to the door. Skyler figured she’d had enough and went to the parking lot to lick his wounds—only to find her waiting by her car. Turns out she just hates being the center of attention. (Awkward foreshadowing for the giant wedding coming up).

As they dated, Skyler realized she was checking nearly all the boxes on his “Future Mrs.” list: good relationship with her dad, ambitious, not crazy (…okay, maybe half a check—let’s be real), never married, no wild dogs, honest, and willing to fly or ride a Harley without complaint. The only missing piece? She was looking for her next job wherever that could be at the moment. Small detail. She was interviewing all over the West, which kept Skyler in a silent panic while they traveled to Arizona and beyond.

Jennifer took a position with a professional lacrosse team to have a chance for this new relationship to work, working remotely from Utah and traveling just a few weekends a month. Vegas became their weekend escape due to the job, and one night, Skyler decided to go all in. He nervously blurted out “I love you” (somewhere between a romantic confession and a medical emergency) and waited. Jennifer smiled and said it back.

And just like that, game on. The pilot, the event planner, and the big fluffy matchmaker named Rustler were officially a team—ready for every adventure life throws their way.
