Our Wedding

In 2022, Jennifer moved to Dayton, OH after landing her dream job. She started attending Apex Community Church (Now Refuge Hill Church) and after a few months auditioned to get plugged in on one of the worship teams. She landed on Team 1 (the only team Daniel wasn't playing on). A year later, the worship leader left and Daniel stepped up to temporarily fill in. He liked Jennifer's voice and found out she also played guitar (kind of) and asked if she would help out serving more frequently. Jennifer likes to say Daniel was the brains and she was the brawn during this time. Daniel led and organized everything and Jennifer helped fill in wherever he needed help. Slowly, collaborating so much led to talking in the church parking lot after practice for hours at a time. Eventually, Jennifer started to suspect maybe Daniel had developed reciprocal feelings to the ones she was having and decided to take a chance to let him know she was interested. After practicing many casual ways to hint that he should ask her on a date, she instead blurted out, "if you wanted to get food or something sometime, just ask." She then proceeded to immediately get in her car and flee from the scene in embarrassment. This and the suggestion from their friend, Chris, turned out to be just the encouragement Daniel needed and they went on their first date a few weeks later in October 2023.Things moved slowly, but steadily along and Daniel and Jennifer's relationship blossomed. In July 2025, Daniel and Jennifer were co-leading a week on the worship team, 2 years after they first started talking. After practice, they were standing out in the church parking lot and Daniel got down on one knee and asked her to marry him where it all started!
