The Eck Visitors Center's free public tour offers a historical and social overview of life at Notre Dame. Most tours will include visits to the Grotto, Basilica of the Sacred Heart*, Main Building (the Golden Dome), and the Hesburgh Library ("Touchdown Jesus").

The tours are walking tours, taking approximately an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half covering approximately two miles of campus. Weather permitting, tours are held Monday through Friday, except on certain holidays and during student breaks. Tour hours and frequency vary depending on the time of year:

The Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame was designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, arguably the greatest golf architects of the day. This classic links design features square tee boxes, undulating greens and thoughtfully trimmed native grasses. A public facility, Warren Golf Course rivals even the best private courses in the region.

Since its opening in 1999, the Warren Golf Course has hosted dozens of high profile USGA, NCAA and Western Golf Association tournaments, including the 2010 Women's Amateur Public Links Championship. The 250 acre venue is also a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

There's two lakes adjacent to each other at ND and they provide great walking/running trails. And if it's a hot day, St. Joseph's lake has a small beach and dock you can enjoy! The lakes are right on the edge of campus.
