RSVPs

Do I have to RSVP online or is there another way?

We would prefer and invite you to RSVP online HERE as there are additional RSVP questions we are gathering answers to. Or, if you would prefer to call, text or email please do so to Jenny at (908) 342-5833 and/or TheCarusos24@gmail.com
To RSVP to another wedding event, such as the Bridal Shower, utilize the RSVP page, search your name (even if it says RSVP to the wedding) click on your name, it will most likely show a single woman's name last on the list. Text or call Jenny if you have questions!

What date should I RSVP by?

We are non traditionally asking everyone to RSVP with the Save the Dates. Please RSVP HERE by December 1st 2023. We have popular vendors that need head counts far in advance to secure services. After your RSVP has been received a formal wedding invitation will be sent to you including all details. All details will also be included in our wedding website.

Directions, Transportation and Accommodations

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

The wedding ceremony will be held at The Forest Lodge- Sherwood Chalet, 11 Reinman Road, Warren, NJ 07059.


Sherwood Chalet will be your first left after entering onto the grounds. Parking will be in the paved lot in front of the building as well as the gravel lot across the street if over-flow is needed.


The reception will follow immediately after at the same location.


Sherwood Chalet is wheelchair accessible to both indoor and outdoor event locations. There is also a handicap bathroom available in the building.


Wedding signage will be visible from the road for your convenience.



What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

If you are flying in- the easiest and nearest airport is Newark Liberty International, please visit the "Travel and Hotel" page for more information.


If you are driving/taxiing in- the venue is 1.7 miles off of I-78, exit 36 towards Basking Ridge/Warrenville. There will be an area to park and or be dropped off.


If you are coming from the group hotel- there will be a shuttle service provided, please RSVP to utilize the shuttle service so we may account for the amount of seats we will need. More details will be added here as they finalize.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The venue has an outdoor and indoor area.

The ceremony will be outdoors, the cocktail hour will be indoor and outdoor and the meal and dancing will be indoors.

Please check back here if there is due to be bad weather for any Plan B circumstances.

Check-In/Check-Out: Please familiarize yourself with our check-in and check- out policies, which are designed to ensure

that all guests receive the cleanest and best-maintained accommodation possible.


Check-in time is 4:00 PM or later. Anyone arriving prior to that time will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve

basis as clean rooms become available. Phone call requests cannot be accommodated.


Check out time is 10:00 AM. Arrangements can be made for baggage storage with our front desk staff.


Cut-Off Date:

Reservations by attendees must be received by May 7, 2024

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel?

Yes, a shuttle service will be provided from the Somerset Hills Hilton hotel on the day of the wedding- before and after. The shuttle service is called Broadway Elite.


2 shuttles will be provided and offer a fifteen minute waiting time.


Shuttle one: 4:15pm

Shuttle two: 4:30pm


Please fell free to check into your hotel room prior to arriving and utilize the shuttle service to get to and from the ceremony and reception. Taxi services are also abundant in this area and the hotel and venue are 5.5 miles (10 minutes) apart.

Wedding Dress Code

What is the dress code for your wedding?

WOMEN: Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual


Women can wear below-the-knee dresses, slip dresses, a dressy skirt and top, or an elegant pantsuit (styled with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats). More information and dress suggestions HERE


MEN:

Opt for a dress shirt and slacks, with the option to wear a jacket and tie. More information and suggested outfits HERE

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Nope! (Well, maybe women don't wear all white, please) Just be you while following the Semi-Formal/ Dressy Casual suggestions. More information HERE

What is the weather like in the area?

This is a Spring wedding in the first week of June. The average low temperature is 60 degrees (extreme low can be 45 degrees) and a high of 80 degrees (extreme high can be 90 degrees or as low as 73 degrees).


I would recommend to dress for a beautiful warm spring day with a shall or blazer for women or blazer and jacket for men.


Humidity can vary between 50-80%. This week in June typically does not lend to a lot of rain, but it is spring! Make sure you check the local weather before packing, Warren, NJ 07059.

Plus-Ones and Children

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

We have anticipated some plus-ones included in your personal RSVP invitation. For those who a plus-one was not added to your RSVP selection we ask that you follow these guidelines.

A plus-one usually refers to a date or a romantic interest, it could also include a family member escorting an older guest who may need assistance.

A guaranteed plus-one invite will include married couples, engaged couples or those who have been dating for some time (1 year or more) and or live together.

Plus-ones who will need approval are guests who are casually dating or guests wanting to be a friend.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

While we love your littles ones, this will be an adults only wedding, thank you.

Menu and Dietary Restrictions

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony, 6pm-7pm. This will be followed by a sit-down buffet dinner, 7pm-10:30pm, with a selection of meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes and salads.


Additionally due to very restrictive allergies no tree nuts or shellfish will be served.


Please be sure to let us know of any other dietary restrictions on your RSVP form.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, there will be a premium liquor open bar from 6pm to 10:30pm.

This will include hard alcohol, beer, seltzers and wine.

There will also be an outdoor area if you would like to indulge in smoking (cigarettes, cigars and or recreational smoking) **IMPORTANT PLEASE if you wish to have a cigar, check the ingredients and the process in which the cigar was made as some cigars are soaked in walnut oils and dried which will affect Mike's allergy, if you’re unsure, don’t smoke it or consult a professional.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Guests are not encouraged to bring wrapped gifts to the wedding as it would not be convenient for us to pack them up at the end of the reception.


Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 57 Willever Lake Rd, Oxford NJ 07863.


A wedding card box will be at our reception.

Wedding Weekend Itinerary

What is the wedding day itinerary?

For Guests not in the Bridal or Groom Wedding Party:


-Hotel check-in will begin at 4pm.
-The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Please plan to arrive 1 hour to 45 minutes ahead of time for parking, seating and mingling.
-Cocktail Hour will begin at 6:00pm for one hour
-Dinner will begin at 7:30pm for three and a half hours, 10:30pm
-Farewells will be at 10:30pm

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Please arrive 60 minutes beforehand in order to be in their seats 30 to 45 minutes before the ceremony starts. While waiting, you can admire the ceremony décor, listen to prelude music, read the ceremony program and acknowledge other guests. Parking will be immediately outside of the venue, walking will be minimal.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

The reception will end at 10:30pm. Shuttles will run from 10:30-11:00pm.


An after party will be held at the Somerset Hills Hilton hotel in the main bar on the first floor. Snacks will be provided. The bar will close at 2am.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

There will not be any gap time between the ceremony and reception. Other than a few pauses for wedding party entrances!


The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?

The Somerset Hotel has a wonderful restaurant and bar and is also conveniently located directly across the street from an upscale strip mall, Riverwalk Village, with restaurants, delis, coffee shops and salons all within walking distance from the hotel lobby.


Restaurants include New American, Asian and Mediterranean food!


Up the street a little ways is a Dunkin' Donuts and 0.9 miles from the lobby is a Panera, Bank, Liquor store, Whole Foods store, Thai Restaurant, Trattoria and a Chipotle.

Other Common Wedding FAQs

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We are asking for an Unplugged Ceremony so that guests are not distracted by their devices and the professional wedding photographer can get the best possible shots without the interference of other flashes or mobile screens. Please put away, silence or turn off all of their devices (cell phones, cameras, etc.) for the duration of the ceremony. You may bring your phones back out and can take pictures during the reception. We will make any announcements otherwise.

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

You may post your own photos on your social media page. We ask that you please be respectful of how your photos may portray others characters and their privacy. We will have a QR code available around the venue for you to be able to upload any of your personal pictures to share to us. In addition, you can opt into our wedding photo app “Confetti” which will be advertised the day before the wedding and utilize the photo album they have set up for us. Additionally, you can use the hashtag #aislegowithcaruso on your social posts.
