Things to Do

•Mario Pagan Restaurant•

If you're looking to make this trip really memorable, for you and your partner (as a one-of-a-kind date night), I would suggest a fine dining experience. Chef Mario Pagan has a few restaurants close to the hotel that serve Puerto Rican inspired dishes, using local ingredients. This isn't just going out to eat, it’s a dining experience. It is NOT cheap, but each bite will transform everything youve ever known about food.

•Cocina Abierta Restaurant•

Cocina Abierta is another wonderful Puerto Rican inspired fine dining experience. We were fortunate enough to experience the 6-course meal, the day we visited La Concha for the first time. You either pick vegetarian or meat, and they bring out whatever fresh made greatness the chef whips up, where each bite makes you say wow. Reservations need to be made long in advance.

•In San Juan•

Condado Lagoon Kayaks & Paddle Boarding.

•La Concha - Amenities•

Restaurants, Spa, Casino, Pool, Beach, Fitness Center, free bike rental and more !

•Adventures•

From La Concha’s website: Our Tour Desk offers the best recommendations on guided traditional and 0ne-of-a-kind adventures. Experience a true connection with untouched nature in rappelling and zip lining guided tours and explore El Yunque Rainforest. Catch your breath and find your inner peace bathing in tropical waterfalls. Learn about our rich heritage strolling the historic streets of Old San Juan, by land or by sea. •Roberto Clemente Monument (Monumento a Roberto Clemente Walker)•

This is in front of the Robert Clemente Municipal Stadium in Carolina. (Not to be confused with the the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan which is also worth a visit!)

Roberto Clemente (born August 18, 1934, Carolina, Puerto Rico—died December 31, 1972, San Juan) was a professional baseball player for the PITTSBURGH PIRATES and was an idol in Puerto Rico and one of the first Latin American baseball stars in the United States (see also Sidebar: Latin Americans in Major League Baseball). In the United States and Puerto Rico alone, he has 11 statues. Roberto Clemente is one of the most iconic sports figures of the last century thanks to his brilliant baseball career, but also because of his humanitarian work and help for those in need within and outside Puerto Rico.
