Travel

•Will I Need a Passport?•

No! Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. Luckily for you that means you dont need a passport to travel there. Its considered domestic travel, so its like hoping on a flight to Florida, except better.

•How Do I Book A Flight?•

When searching for your flight, (to keep things simple) Google flights from (your nearest major airport hub) to “San Juan, Puerto Rico”. The name of the airport you'll fly to is Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. Most major airports offer direct flights there!

Unfortunately, some airports may have flights to Puerto Rico that require a layover or connecting flight. Flights from Pittsburgh will have a layover, likely in Atlanta, GA, or Charlotte, SC. That will make your travel time a little longer. I would recommend starting your search with “nonstop flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico”. Cleveland, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Newark offer nonstop flights. Flight times will be between 4-5 hours (nonstop).

We personally like getting on a plane and getting off at our final destination. We’d rather have more time at a destination, then spend more time commuting. Layovers and connecting flights might be your only option, geographically, financially, or time-wise, and can seem stressful if you dont travel often. If you go with this option, REMAIN CALM. The airports have lots of signage to direct you, and you can always ask for help to get to the appropriate gate. Once you get off the plane in Puerto Rico, the weight of it all will be lifted. I promise, you wont want to leave. Puerto Rico is beautiful, and well worth the journey.

•Once I Land, How Far Will I Have To Go?•

La Concha Renaissance San Juan Resort is where both the Ceremony and Reception will be! It is a 12 minute drive from the airport in San Juan (Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport)

•Where Will I Stay?•

The venue offered a room block for our guests. There is a two night requirement in order to obtain the reduced price. If you are interested, please ask us for the link to reserve the rooms. You can secure your room now without paying for the room upfront.

Please click the website link below to view a 3D tour of the following rooms available for the block:

Resort Pool View Room- One King @ $319 per night.
(Normally priced at $519 per night)

Ocean Junior Suite @ $319 per night.
(Normally priced at $634 per night)

Ocean Tower Suite @ 319 per night
(Normally priced at $659 per night)

Deluxe Ocean Front- Double Beds @ $339 per night.
(Normally priced at $574 per night)

These are the prices before any taxes. It is not cheap by any means, and we do not expect you to go that route. But, by staying in the hotel youll be in the same space as the ceremony and reception. You can get ready in your room, come down to the ceremony, and be where its all happening. Besides, how often are you in Puerto Rico?! This is your excuse to get away! There are also many hotel amenities that are included with the cost of your stay.

Once we can confirm we will meet the room block requirements, we will provide you with a link that you will use to book the room. This will guarantee the lower rate. Please do not book a room on their website without having our link.

If you do want more affordable accommodations, there are Airbnbs in the area, walking distance to the venue space ( 1-7 min walking). They range from $200 per night for a two bedroom, to $1000 per night for 6 bedrooms. (TIP: Itll be better to book this sooner than later, as cheaper options will be taken up quicker/sooner).

If you coordinate with other family members or guests coming, you can split this for an even cheaper nightly rate, that would be the cheapest option. Just remember, when you search for the Airbnb, make sure you search within Condado, Puerto Rico, at least if you want to be within walking distance. If you search San Juan, Puerto Rico, you may find cheaper options, but youll just have to Uber from wherever you stay to the hotel for the ceremony/reception

Website

•Will I Need to Rent a Car?•

Short answer, No. If you download the Uber app, the rides are $15-20 one way, from the airport to the ceremony/hotel. If youre staying at the hotel with us, or a nearby Airbnb, it would be cheaper to just Uber. If you are staying outside of the Condado area, or staying in Puerto Rico longer, It would be beneficial to rent a car. Thats up to you! Parking can also be a challenge in the Condado area. SO, unless youre planning to Valet park your car, which is an additional cost, youll have to be patient with finding street parking.
