Brandon D. Green is Jerrett's best man and a brother from another mother. They first met in 2008, and from day one, their connection was undeniable. Wherever one was, the other could always be found close by with loud laughter to follow. They shared the football field at Bowling Green High School, culminating in an undefeated state championship. Despite attending rival colleges—Brandon at Campbellsville University and Jerrett at Lindsey Wilson University—their paths realigned when they both transferred to Western Kentucky University. Their time at WKU was marked by memorable experiences—skipped classes, countless hours of anime, youthful exuberance, diligent studying, and the inevitable challenges of life, all of which they overcame to earn Master's degrees. During grad school, Brandon met Torchia, and he often hosted game nights for fellow students. It was during one of these gatherings that Jerrett and Torchia's eyes first met, sparking an instant connection. As Jerrett's best friend, it was clear from the start they were destined for each other, and I couldn't be happier for them. In the end, love conquers all. I met Jerrett at Lindsey Wilson College freshman year, we both went to LWC to play college football. We both stayed at the same dorm and floor we became friends pretty much instantly. We bonded through sports and chilling on campus with nothing do lol. Our LWC days ended sophomore year and we took our party to western Kentucky university (go tops) that’s when we really became best of friends. We lived together for a couple of years in bowling green and had the best times you could have with your friends. I’m very proud of Jerrett meeting Torchia and settling down with her. Torchia’s the perfect match for Jerrett. They have a bond that’s unshakeable and is truly inspiring. Knowing Torchia from high school track, working at Wendy’s, and the time we both had perms to now means I’ve gotten to see her transform from being a teenager into one of the best women I have the privilege of calling my friend. What better way to celebrate the journey than turning up (and doing plenty of crying) on your special day??

I like to say that meeting Torchia was a blessing, and a coincidence. We had found each other in a Facebook group where incoming Warhawks could meet each other and try to find roommates for the coming school year at UW-Whitewater. When I saw Torchia post in the group, I had “stalked” her Facebook, as I did everyone else, to see what I could find out prior to messaging them, which is when I noticed that we had a mutual friend. After talking with that friend about how she knew Torchia, I knew right away she was “the one” I’d love to call my roommate. I messaged her - and the rest was history. We first met in person a few months later when she came to my graduation party with her brother, Sidney. As if I even needed more reassurance that this would be a good fit, my family and friends LOVED both Torchia and Sidney which just solidified the gut feeling I had. Living together was such an amazing experience. We made so many memories our Freshman year on third floor Benson, and many, many more after. We’ve been by each other’s side (even if miles apart) for so many BIG moments in our lives. She’s even the first person I told that I thought my now husband was “the one”. I am so lucky and honored to be able to stand by her side as she says “I Do” and starts her forever with her soulmate. Congratulations Torchia and Jerrett - may God continue to bless this union!

Torchia is my beloved cousin/sister. Life changed once this women came into my life, Torchia and I were never not laughing so hard we that we were crying. We had a whole other language we spoke and we were together so often work, choir or family couldn’t keep us apart. Our parents called us long-lost sisters, and she's been part of so many of my most important adventures in my life. Hey, everyone! My name is Montel Carpenter, and I would like to take you back in time a bit to share a story about meeting my best friend, Jerrett. Our friendship began when we were in the sixth grade, but there was a pretty interesting backstory that defined our journey together. It all started with my first year of little league football. During my first year on the football field, I had the opportunity to go up against Jerrett. There was this "big black dude," who was dominating the defensive line and offensive line. The first time I lined up against him, I couldn't help but wonder what was they feeding this guy . However, little did I know at the time that this seemingly intimidating figure would eventually become one of my closest friends. As time went on, our friendship blossomed, and we began to grow closer. What I realized about Jerrett is that he always carried himself with a positive attitude and a genuine heart. He never let anyone bring him down, and I quickly realized that he was a genuinely good person. When he introduced me to his then girlfriend, Torchia, I knew in that moment that he had found his person. It was a match made in heaven, and I wholeheartedly wished them nothing but peace and happiness. and many babies.

McKinley is the older sister of the groom and is so excited her brother found his person in Torchia. McKinley has loved Torchia from the 1st time they met and Torchia has become a part of the family so easily. McKinley’s children love their TT and her toddler is OBSESSED with her. McKinley is so thrilled to finally have a sister that she loves so much. Celebrating all of the holidays together has been a true blessing and McKinley cannot wait until the big day!

Torchia and Mariah met while attending UW Whitewater. Although neither of them can remember exactly how they met they are almost sure it was through Gospel Choir. Torchia helped Mariah get a job in the Special Education office as an admin assistant and they got to bond over that experience together. They had a lot of fun memories at whitewater together most notably Thursday nights with dinner and wine! Although they live far apart they’ve kept in touch and FaceTime often to catch up.

Hey remember when we first met in college people always got us confused. People did this for years until we started hanging out everyday then people thought we was sisters 😂 How come two beautiful dark skinned women with good ass hair gotta be related? Quinna met Torchia during our adventures in graduate school, where both were working on our Master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University while simultaneously working as Assistant Residence Hall Directors in HRL (IYKYK). Our friendship blossomed from ½ priced sushi dates on Mondays to decompress, to concerts, to life life’in, to engagement, and now to the wedding. At the wedding, you’ll find Quinna hypin’ her work bestie up on the dance floor. On a serious note, Torchia is the sweetest and most genuine person I know, and I’m happy to know she’s found her person. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for this beautiful couple.
