For a more laid-back city vibe closer to the mountains, Boulder offers diverse activities like exploring Pearl Street, hiking in the Flatirons, biking along Boulder Creek Path, visiting the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, enjoying outdoor spaces like Chautauqua Park, trying local cuisine in unique eateries (our favorite is Osaka), attending cultural events and festivals, and exploring the vibrant arts and music scene. A great day-trip from the Denver/Boulder area is the wild west town of Golden. Explore the historic downtown, tour the iconic Coors Brewery or remnants of historic mining sites, hike the scenic Clear Creek Canyon Park, cycle along the Clear Creek Trail, visit the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum, indulge in outdoor adventures at Golden Gate Canyon State Park, savor local cuisine in charming restaurants, attend cultural events, and discover the captivating history at the Colorado Railroad Museum. Our favorite place to dine on a summer day is the Golden Mill which is an indoor/outdoor food hall by the river that has something delicious for everybody! Click HERE for top things to do.
