Our Wedding

On our first date May 15th, 2022, we met up at a coffee shop in Hobe Sound and just talked. Jess was super quiet and Lauren was just trying to fill the emptiness with words. Later that day, (it was a day long date) after we had our fill of walking through a park we stopped to eat at a picnic table and both just remember thinking "This is my human", while we ate the homemade sandwiches and wine Lauren had brought. Right before we ended the date and went home we hugged and everything just felt calm. Like nothing could ever go wrong. On the second date, we went to a park near Hobe Sound on Memorial Day weekend. That day Jess was finally introduced to Pub Subs and the magic they behold. That is also when Jess asked Lauren if she wanted to start a relationship with them. On March 1st, 2023, Lauren surprised both of them when she asked Jess to marry her. And on September 23rd, 2024, Jess had planned out a proposal set up at home to ask Lauren to marry them when she got home from work. In the past 2.5 years since then, their time together has been full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. They are so excited to begin this next chapter as partners.

Anthony is Lauren's youngest sibling. At 18 years old this awesome human is leaping educational bounds and just an exceptionally caring individual. Ant is super excited to bear the title of Best Person for this wedding.

Sawyer is Lauren's brother and the first person to officially know about and meet Jess when Lauren and Jess started dating. He is the funniest person Jess knows and we are lucky to have him in the wedding party.

Ryan is so many things to us. He is a wonderfully intelligent and caring human, husband to Tessa, and father to two fantastic kids. Lauren has known Ryan since high school and was extremely excited to introduce him to Jess. He excitedly joins our team to help make this day so unforgettable.

Tessa is Lauren's best friend of 18 years. She will tell you that she walked up to Lauren a few days into their freshman year of high school and told her, "Hi, I'm Tessa. We're going to be friends" and since then, poor Tessa hasn't been able to get rid of Lauren. Since then, Tessa has gone on to get her masters degree, start a business, and become a mother to two amazing humans.

Hannah is Lauren's and Sawyer's sister. She is so spunky, fun, down-to-earth, and such a wonderful mother to her Littles.  She brings the fun, feeling, and a certain wildness to the party. She is a wonderful addition to the bridal party.

Lacey is another of Lauren's best friends. They met at the most grownup place, work, where Lacey trained Lauren to be the best healthcare professional she could be. Lacey has been a rock in Lauren's life. She is a wonderful mother to two great kids and super loving to her fiancé, Alex.

Allen and Penny are Jess's parents. They love each other and Jess so much. They like to travel and currently manage a campground in Texas. They accepted Lauren into their family and love both Jess and Lauren with all they have. We couldn't thank them enough for their love and support.

Jerry and Vivian are Lauren's parents and so super accepting of her and most everything she does. They have been married for 18 years. Jerry and Vivian were the first to congratulate Lauren and Jess on their engagement and have been enormously supportive while Lauren and Jess journey through this life. We couldn't thank them enough for their support and love.

Barkley is the best dog. He has been in Jess's life for over 9 years. He is very cute and very excited to meet everyone.

Lauren&nbsp;adopted&nbsp;Minnie&nbsp;when&nbsp;she&nbsp;was&nbsp;just&nbsp;8&nbsp;months&nbsp;old&nbsp;and&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;last&nbsp;7.5&nbsp;years&nbsp;she&nbsp;has&nbsp;lived&nbsp;the&nbsp;life&nbsp;of&nbsp;luxury&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;DINK&nbsp;millennial&nbsp;household.&nbsp;She&nbsp;is&nbsp;full&nbsp;of&nbsp;skepticism&nbsp;and&nbsp;reads&nbsp;everyone&nbsp;as&nbsp;they&nbsp;are,&nbsp;she&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;wonderful&nbsp;judge&nbsp;of&nbsp;character.&nbsp;She&nbsp;will&nbsp;not&nbsp;be&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;ceremony,&nbsp;there&nbsp;are&nbsp;simply&nbsp;"too&nbsp;many&nbsp;humans&nbsp;attending".

Lauren&nbsp;adopted&nbsp;Bella&nbsp;when&nbsp;she&nbsp;was&nbsp;6-8&nbsp;weeks&nbsp;old&nbsp;and&nbsp;just&nbsp;the&nbsp;smallest&nbsp;kitten.&nbsp;Bella&nbsp;used&nbsp;to&nbsp;hitch&nbsp;rides&nbsp;in&nbsp;Lauren's&nbsp;clothes&nbsp;and&nbsp;has&nbsp;since&nbsp;become&nbsp;the&nbsp;center&nbsp;of&nbsp;attention.&nbsp;To&nbsp;Bella,&nbsp;noone&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;stranger,&nbsp;she&nbsp;will&nbsp;cuddle&nbsp;up&nbsp;next&nbsp;to&nbsp;anyone&nbsp;as&nbsp;long&nbsp;as&nbsp;she&nbsp;feels&nbsp;a&nbsp;disturbance&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;emotional&nbsp;force.&nbsp;Bella&nbsp;will&nbsp;not&nbsp;be&nbsp;attending&nbsp;the&nbsp;ceremony&nbsp;or&nbsp;the&nbsp;reception&nbsp;because&nbsp;she&nbsp;would&nbsp;rather&nbsp;be&nbsp;"sleeping&nbsp;in&nbsp;peace&nbsp;than&nbsp;disturbed&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;loud&nbsp;music".
