... a backyard grill at a house party.

Scott and Jesse Rae met in Boulder, Colorado, at the end of August in 2016. They talked about their favorite books, toughest college courses, places they traveled, and then made their way to the dance floor, where Scott introduced Jesse Rae to swing dancing. He twirled her around and flipped her upside down--twice!--quite literally sweeping her off of her feet.

A first date came shortly after, where Jesse Rae brought Scott to one of her favorite Indian restaurants in Denver. They spent hours talking after they had finished eating, and both decided that the other person was, like, pretty cool. More dates followed, some rife with adventure (like scrambling up the flat irons in sandals), and others revolving around more laid-back activities (like meeting for coffee at St. Mark's in Denver).

The following January, Jesse Rae's artistic career began in Cincinnati, Ohio, launching their relationship into long distance. Over the next several months, Scott and Jesse traded weekends between Cincinnati and Boulder, quickly becoming some of Frontier's most prized customers. Eventually, they both had just about enough of seeing Poppy the Prairie Dog on the tails of airplanes, and decided to make the move to Texas, where Scott began his adventure as an aerospace engineer, and Jesse Rae as a freelancer.

Then, on December 23rd, 2022, Scott spent all day building snouches (couches made from snow) in the backyard of his family home in Spokane, Washington. That evening, when Scott and Jesse were alone by a snowy bonfire, Scott got down on one knee and asked Jesse to marry him. She said yes.

Actually, she said, "FOR REAL?!" and nearly fainted from joy.

The next morning during breakfast with both of their families present, they announced their engagement. Now, they are super excited to celebrate the next chapter of their lives with everyone at their wedding.
