How is it that a young Canadian woman from West Jordan, Utah came to know a young Canadian man from just outside of Toronto, Canada? It is only by God's providence and grace that Emily and Jesse met and fell in love.

Jess and Em were called by God to attend the Moody Bible Institute for the fall semester of 2022. Em strongly desired to grow in her theology of God's Word and in her relationship with him, and thus enrolled in the Theology major. Jess, feeling the burden to grow in his knowledge and understanding of God's Word and to help build up God's Church, enrolled in the Pastoral Studies Major.

The two came to Moody expectant to learn and grow, what they could not have predicted was the blessing of being placed on the same brother and sister floor. It wasn't long before Jess and Em began taking an interest in one another. Em saw a young man who challenged her, made her laugh, shared a similar passion for learning, was adventurous, and who she could live out her faith with. Jess saw a young woman who was beautiful and had a stunning smile, was passionate about the Lord and desired to share Jesus with others, and who could both encourage and challenge him.

It was after a coffee excursion, a trip to the aquarium, and many talks (where hours felt like mere minutes) throughout the first month of school that the two started dating. Their hearts for one another were to encourage one another in the faith and glorify God through their relationship. Here they are now, counting down the days until their wedding, and expectant of how God will use them for his glory for the rest of their lives.
