Our Wedding

It&nbsp;all&nbsp;started&nbsp;14&nbsp;years&nbsp;ago&nbsp;when&nbsp;Eric&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;first&nbsp;met&nbsp;while&nbsp;working&nbsp;at&nbsp;HEB.&nbsp;He&nbsp;was&nbsp;too&nbsp;nervous&nbsp;to&nbsp;talk&nbsp;to&nbsp;me,&nbsp;convinced&nbsp;I&nbsp;wouldn’t&nbsp;enjoy&nbsp;our&nbsp;conversations.&nbsp;But&nbsp;despite&nbsp;the&nbsp;hesitation,&nbsp;we&nbsp;became&nbsp;friends,&nbsp;and&nbsp;our&nbsp;connection&nbsp;grew&nbsp;over&nbsp;time.&nbsp;Three&nbsp;years&nbsp;later,&nbsp;Eric&nbsp;moved&nbsp;on&nbsp;from&nbsp;HEB,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;relationship.&nbsp;Life&nbsp;took&nbsp;us&nbsp;on&nbsp;different&nbsp;paths,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;lost&nbsp;contact&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;while. Then,&nbsp;one&nbsp;day,&nbsp;I&nbsp;stumbled&nbsp;upon&nbsp;Eric’s&nbsp;Facebook&nbsp;page.&nbsp;We&nbsp;reconnected&nbsp;and&nbsp;stayed&nbsp;friends,&nbsp;but&nbsp;it&nbsp;wasn’t&nbsp;until&nbsp;six&nbsp;years&nbsp;ago&nbsp;when&nbsp;he&nbsp;asked&nbsp;me&nbsp;out&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;realized&nbsp;how&nbsp;much&nbsp;I&nbsp;cared.&nbsp;At&nbsp;the&nbsp;time,&nbsp;I&nbsp;thought&nbsp;he&nbsp;was&nbsp;too&nbsp;kind&nbsp;and&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;wasn’t&nbsp;good&nbsp;enough&nbsp;for&nbsp;him.&nbsp;But&nbsp;fate&nbsp;had&nbsp;other&nbsp;plans.&nbsp;Four&nbsp;years&nbsp;later,&nbsp;out&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;blue,&nbsp;Eric&nbsp;messaged&nbsp;me&nbsp;on&nbsp;Snapchat,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;couldn’t&nbsp;stop&nbsp;talking. We&nbsp;finally&nbsp;went&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;date,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;promised&nbsp;myself&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;wouldn’t&nbsp;let&nbsp;this&nbsp;amazing&nbsp;man&nbsp;go&nbsp;again.&nbsp;Since&nbsp;that&nbsp;moment,&nbsp;we’ve&nbsp;been&nbsp;inseparable.&nbsp;Our&nbsp;story&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;reminder&nbsp;that&nbsp;sometimes,&nbsp;the&nbsp;right&nbsp;person&nbsp;comes&nbsp;back&nbsp;into&nbsp;your&nbsp;life&nbsp;at&nbsp;just&nbsp;the&nbsp;right&nbsp;time. It&nbsp;was&nbsp;October&nbsp;31st,&nbsp;a&nbsp;day&nbsp;that&nbsp;started&nbsp;like&nbsp;any&nbsp;other.&nbsp;Eric&nbsp;had&nbsp;come&nbsp;to&nbsp;my&nbsp;workplace&nbsp;to&nbsp;help&nbsp;me&nbsp;set&nbsp;up&nbsp;a&nbsp;new&nbsp;desk&nbsp;for&nbsp;my&nbsp;classroom.&nbsp;We&nbsp;were&nbsp;working&nbsp;together,&nbsp;tackling&nbsp;the&nbsp;task&nbsp;of&nbsp;putting&nbsp;everything&nbsp;in&nbsp;place&nbsp;when&nbsp;I&nbsp;casually&nbsp;mentioned&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;been&nbsp;thinking&nbsp;about&nbsp;getting&nbsp;a&nbsp;new&nbsp;plate&nbsp;for&nbsp;my&nbsp;room.&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;hesitant,&nbsp;though,&nbsp;unsure&nbsp;if&nbsp;I&nbsp;should&nbsp;buy&nbsp;one&nbsp;now&nbsp;or&nbsp;wait&nbsp;in&nbsp;case&nbsp;we&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;get&nbsp;married&nbsp;soon. By&nbsp;that&nbsp;point,&nbsp;we&nbsp;were&nbsp;almost&nbsp;done&nbsp;assembling&nbsp;the&nbsp;desk,&nbsp;but&nbsp;Eric&nbsp;had&nbsp;a&nbsp;different&nbsp;kind&nbsp;of&nbsp;surprise&nbsp;in&nbsp;mind.&nbsp;I&nbsp;noticed&nbsp;he&nbsp;was&nbsp;getting&nbsp;teary-eyed,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;asked&nbsp;him&nbsp;what&nbsp;was&nbsp;wrong.&nbsp;That’s&nbsp;when&nbsp;he&nbsp;opened&nbsp;up,&nbsp;telling&nbsp;me&nbsp;just&nbsp;how&nbsp;much&nbsp;I&nbsp;meant&nbsp;to&nbsp;him&nbsp;and&nbsp;how&nbsp;much&nbsp;he&nbsp;loved&nbsp;me.&nbsp;His&nbsp;words&nbsp;were&nbsp;so&nbsp;sincere,&nbsp;and&nbsp;then,&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;smile&nbsp;through&nbsp;his&nbsp;tears,&nbsp;he&nbsp;told&nbsp;me&nbsp;he&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;spend&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;his&nbsp;life&nbsp;with&nbsp;me. I&nbsp;was&nbsp;completely&nbsp;shocked.&nbsp;And&nbsp;then,&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;most&nbsp;beautiful&nbsp;moment,&nbsp;he&nbsp;asked&nbsp;me&nbsp;the&nbsp;question&nbsp;I&nbsp;never&nbsp;saw&nbsp;coming:&nbsp;“Will&nbsp;you&nbsp;marry&nbsp;me?” Without&nbsp;hesitation,&nbsp;I&nbsp;shouted&nbsp;a&nbsp;big,&nbsp;joyous&nbsp;“Yes!”&nbsp;The&nbsp;excitement&nbsp;and&nbsp;happiness&nbsp;we&nbsp;both&nbsp;felt&nbsp;were&nbsp;overwhelming,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;both&nbsp;couldn't&nbsp;hold&nbsp;back&nbsp;the&nbsp;tears.&nbsp;It&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;moment&nbsp;full&nbsp;of&nbsp;love,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;couldn’t&nbsp;wait&nbsp;to&nbsp;start&nbsp;this&nbsp;journey&nbsp;together&nbsp;as&nbsp;husband&nbsp;and&nbsp;wife.

Josiah and Ms. Jessica have known each other for 4 years. Josiah was one  of my students when I was with Hutto ISD.  Eric and I knew when we got engaged that we wanted Josiah as  our ring bearer. He has a special place in both of our hearts. We are over joyed to have Josiah apart of our big day!!

Lisa and I have known each other for 4 years. She has such an amazing heart. I couldn't have her not by my side on  Eric and I's wedding day.

Ashley and I have known each other for 21 years. She been their through all the hard times and good times in my life. I can't wait to make wedding memories that will last a life time!

Faith feels like a little sister to me. We met while working at True Friend camp in Minnesota, and we instantly clicked. I couldn't help but joke about her UK accent, which started a fun, easy connection between us. She has such a big heart, and I truly admire her kindness and generosity. I'm beyond grateful that she'll be part of our wedding—her presence means so much to me!

Laura is Eric's cousin. She was the first cousin to open up to me. She made me feel like I was apart of the family. I can't wait to see what many more years brings to the family!

Taylor has been such a sweet person to me since Eric and I started dating! She's been such a welcoming friend and has such a sweet heart. Eric was a groomsmen at her wedding. I'm so happy to have her in our wedding!
