Our Story

We appreciate you traveling to help us celebrate on our wedding day. Below is the link you can use to make reservations or you can call 1-866-316-5958. Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center

Be sure to take advantage of the complimentary airport shuttle by providing your flight information and arrival time. Once you arrive at the hotel, everything will be conveniently located nearby. You will be able to walk or Uber/Lyft to local restaurants and activities.

You will be able to fly into Augusta through the Augusta Regional Airport and you can use the hotel shuttle to get from there to the Augusta Marriott.

Travel

This is a beautiful place for a walk or run. Fun fact: Jessica started her 70.3 mile journey by swimming 1.2 miles in the Savannah River during the Augusta Half Iron Man.

Augusta Riverwalk

This is where Jessica and Derek got dessert at the end of their first date. It was a smart move for Derek, because Jessica can't resist their hummingbird cake. Be sure to walk over for lunch or a decadent dessert.

The Boll Weevil Cafe and Sweetery

Jessica and Derek shared their first meal together here while on their first date. Both ordered the Elway Burger with waffle fries.

Whiskey Bar Kitchen

This is one of Jessica and Derek's favorite spots for drinks and dessert. You have to try the 2nd City Cookie and the Oglethorpe Cream Pie!

Vance's Bakery Bar

Derek beat Jessica at ax throwing here, but they both had lots of fun.

Broad Axe Throwing

This is where Jessica and Derek shared a drink together at the start of their first date. It's a great spot to catch some local live music.

Metro Coffee House

This is a fun local spot for pizza. You can get it by the slice and they have great cheesy bread. While Jessica likes the Tree Hugger, Derek goes for the Carnivore.

The Pizza Joint

Jessica and Derek enjoy the buritos here. But come hungry, because they roll 'em fat!

Nacho Mama's

Go by Art on Broad to shop for one of a kind creations by local artists.

Art On Broad Inc

This old fashioned ice cream parlor is just across the river in North Augusta, SC and it is very close by to Jessica's school, North Augusta Elementary. Derek's children, Everett (7) and Julianne (5), recommend the Super Man ice cream!

Pink Dipper

This is the place to go for delicious pastries Saturday morning. Jessica and Derek love the fritters and cinnamon rolls. You can stop by and then take a stroll through downtown North Augusta.

Sheila's Baking Co.

Park here to easily access the beautiful North Augusta Greenway, where Jessica often goes to run. This is a flat, 7 mile paved trail that offers lots of shade, benches, and water stops along the way.

North Augusta Greenway Soccer field

Just across the river and located in beautiful Hammond's Ferry, this is an excellent spot for brunch or dinner.

Manuel's Bread Cafe

This is a great place to go for a shady walk nearby. Be on the look out for all kinds of wildlife. You might even spot an alligator in the water!
