We met in 2013 when we were 16 and 17 years old, right before Josh was due to go home to Ireland for a family trip. After waiting what felt like forever (4 weeks), Josh was finally back in Australia and asked me to be his girlfriend on 24 January 2014, in front of our friends.

Right before we moved into our very first rental home, we bought our first dog together, Maisy. Not long after, we bought our second dog together, Freddy. At 18, we finally felt like a little family, living together with our dogs.

In 2022, after dating for 8 years (and travelling a lot), we decided to buy a house together. Although it needed some work, we found our perfect home in the hills.

On Christmas Day 2022, we were on a holiday with the Hewlett family in Malaysia. We were having a beautiful dinner on the beach and between courses, Josh asked me to walk down to the water with him. Josh started to fumble around with our hotel room key chain in his pocket and asked then me to marry him. We both couldn't wait to be engaged and decided to sort the details (like the ring) later. I instantly said yes! Josh told me that he couldn't wait for me to be "Mrs Larkin" and I said, "that's your mum's name!". After a few tears and kisses, we came back to the table and decided not to tell anyone we were engaged until the following day.

In November 2023, we found out that we were expecting a baby together!

Two became three with the birth of our beautiful baby girl, Hazel. Hazel quickly became the centre of our lives and the best thing we ever did! When we get married, Hazel will be approximately 11 months old and joining us as a flower girl!

When we get married, we will have been together for over 11 years!
